I doubt that's even accurate VOR. Why would a two time state championship QB want to leave. I have no idea if Pike is considering leaving Dixie, but he would be more likely to go to Ryle than Towles ever would.

That doesn't surprise me they have other dads coaching on the team whos sons are on the Union Raiders. There is a gap between Hempel and there next big gun about 4 years so, the QB position was "open" so to speak. We'll see how it plays out.

From what I have heard this kid is still going to Grant and doing spring drills with them.

Did Ryle put out a help wanted sign or something?

 

Here's a theory, may be far-fetched.

 

Perhaps Ryle wasn't satisfied beating the likes of SK by just three points in the regular season and three TDs in the playoffs. Maybe that just isn't acceptable.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It is mere speculation all the way around as to what the future holds for Nathan Davis from Grant County. If you choose to focus on facts, then note he has started on the varsity level since his fresman season. The combination of arm strength and football IQ is off the chart for a kid who will be a junior. If he lands at a program that traditionally runs, runs, runs, and runs some more then his arrival would prompt a deviation in the offensive scheme of things. He is that solid period!!!

Seems Coach Bryson had a D-1 QB leading the team last year who had one heck of an arm, and still Coach Bryson still went with a run first offense. No dis to the Davis kid, but IF he transfers to Ryle, I can't see Coach Bryson implementing a pass first offense. Particularly with Travis being a senior. I could be wrong; but past history indicates I'm not. Nothing but best wishes to the Davis kid where ever he plays this Fall.

Ryle must not have much faith in Mason Lehmkuhl or Jake Ashley.

 

Pretty crappy to call kids out like this when you have no idea of the situations or players. Jake Ashley was out with an injury all last year. He may not even play football next year. It has nothing to do with having faith or not having faith. If either were put in the situation to play they would be just fine. How does a player transferring into a school show lack of faith in anyone. You really need to stick with things you know, like.... well, that pretty much leaves you out of most conversations doesn't it.
