Did the big strong kid for NO play? I seem to remember reading that he got hurt during the season.

^ Devon Rowan finished with 11/10, and apparently made the block at the end. McNeil (20) and Hargett (21) led WV. Hargett had 12 of WV's 15 in the fourth.

Congrats to the Bearcats on a fine season and good luck to North on Monday.

Not one to post on BGP, just read. Officials were some of the weakest I have seen in a regional game. Bad calls on both teams. Let it get chippy. Called technicals on the wrong players. No calls in the final 9 seconds for both teams. You call it tight all game and then put the whistle away in the final two possessions. You should be ashamed to take credit for calling that game. 31:45 of tight calls and then nothing.

This was an interesting game. North had a huge advantage inside but refused to get the ball there. North led almost the whole game. Everytime it looked like they were going to pull away, WV made a three. Both teams shot it well.

 

Officiating was wild to say the least. Very physical, double technical just not solid officiating. Game was getting out of control and could have been kept in check early. Playoff physical is one thing but at times it looked like a football game. By the way, I am a neutral, no dog in the fight. I was just invited by a friend.

 

First time to Henry County's gym. It is wonderful. All schools should have a similar venue.

I didn't watch the game, just listened to the web stream. Brockman took the shot and the next thing I heard was that Rowan blocked the shot. Did that not happen?

There was a block that was preceeded by two very hard fouls. About as much contact as on the NO turnover at 9 sec. Bad all the way around. Just not the same calls as the first 31minutes. Kids and coaches work to hard for 30+ games to see such poor officials at a regional game.

I was told by someone at the game that Rowan blocked the last shot.

Listened to the game on Pegasus. Of course they are Oldham's radio station and did a good job. Even they said that Brockman was fouled. Not by Rowan who made a clean block but by another player. You take the ball to the rim hard is all you can do. Not too many officials are going to give you that call in the last couple of seconds of the game. Great job Bearcats.
