Remember his whole he rather flip burgers than play for the Bengals. Well he ended up playing a few more seasons for the Bengals before they finally traded him. Which they didn't trade him until they had someone that proved they can fill the void if they traded him. Rudi had a good year with Dillon being hurt, which finally made them decide to trade him.

He may have talked stuff before but I thought that was his last game then he got traded for what ended up being Madieu Williams I believe.

Yes the equipment in the stands ended up being his last game. However this came after he already had been hurt a lot that year, and Rudi had came in and did GREAT in his place. So Mike Brown was the willing to finally trade him. However 3 years before that, he refused to trade Dillon when Dillon talked about how he rather flip burgers than play again for the Bengals. Mike Brown didn't trade him, and he did end up playing for 3 more years for the Bengals. Mike Brown is not going to trade someone who he thinks he can win with, unless he knows for sure that ther is someone who can easily step in his place. That is why Palmer won't be traded, they want to win this year and can with Palmer.
