I would be very surprised. The only wins they have this season are over small schools. They will undoubtedly draw a district Champion so against the likes of Holmes, CCH, NCC, Boone, Ryle...I think they are a one and done.

I agree he is a nice guy and a great coach. If he can pull out a W in the region with this team I will put him in legendary status!!

Great coaching and motivated players can lead to something like this happening. No one could have seen this coming. Congrats to SH.

 

It was easy to see coming. I saw it coming at the beginning of the month.

Dave Faust = Best Coach In Northern KY Hands down Still plays a big school schedule when he is at a small school. Still finds a way to do it. Depending on the draw I wouldnt be surprised to see him get a win in the tourney.

 

I hope he stays with the the Cru for at least another 4 more years!

And a blind squirrel sometimes finds a nut, big deal 30 pts. in a loss to a 4-16 team..... Alright boys and girls, this high school kid is not a delicate flower, he's and 18 year old ADULT, so cry me a river.

 

My comment, RIGHT OR WRONG, is based on the 5 times I've seen him play. He played with NO enthusiasm, a lack of hustle up and down the court, & whinned like a baby. Maybe I cuaght him on bad nights, because he definitely is a player he has nice size, long arms and can jump out of the gym. The most enthusiasm I saw in him was the pre-game huddle bouncing around and chest bumping. Sorry to those that didn't like my comment, but I'll never hold back and be "PC" on what I want to say.

 

OK, the kid plays with no enthusiasm, no effort, etc, drops 30 and ???? rebounds, you can't give the kid credit. So if he tries hard and scores 30 against St. Henry, does he get credit then?

Congrats to Lloyd's Donnie Cheatum for being selected to NKY best small school athletes. The article states that he averaged 17 ppg. Would like to see how many boards and blocked shots he had too....can anyone provide this? Reporter James Weber selected and commented about 23 different athletes in NKY. Congrats to everyone who was mentioned!

For you who do not know Donnie Cheatum give me a bunch of them he is one of the nicest and polite young man I have ever met, very respectful I congratulate him on his nomination as small school player of the year. I only wish this young man the best in life. JD

In NKY/Greater Cinti he ranks 9th in blocks 59, Giesler NCC 1st with 115. 2nd in Off Rebs 121, Giesler NCC 1st with 128. Not in top 10 in Def Rebs (146), Giesler 1st with 242.

Donnie Cheatum is a very good player. No need to try to discredit anything he did or speak down about the kid. Congratulations to him on a solid career at Lloyd.

I think they drop 30 on a team and sure they would get credti regardless of if it was a win or loss and who they were playing against. IF he is good enough to score 30 when he is not trying, hate to see him when he is. Main point here is that we would all love to see kids play hard the entire game, does not always happen, no right to call someone lazy because he does not play hard all game. You also have to think about what Cheetum did in this game knowing that more than likely St. Henry's defensive scheme was centered around stopping him, which according to the stats was not successful. They did a good job stopping everyone else, but they could not stop him, so why not look elsewhere for excuses. I truly believe that it is easier to bash Cheetum because he is at Lloyd and not New Cath, Cov Cath, etc. Would we call Hatton, Thelen, etc LAZY if they scored 30 and lost to Newport, St. Henry, etc????
