Yes and they can build around him like they were going to do for Melo. Prokhorov (sp) is trying to build a championship team. and he has the first piece.

They need a big scorer to compete in the East. Just not sure who.. Lopez is good but not sure if he's that great of an attraction.

 

Lopez is about as good a true "C" you're going to find outside of Howard these days. Williams is the glue, now they just need to attract that scorer.

As far as scorers, no one really comes to mind. Joe Johnson? Who would they have their eye on?

Looking at the upcoming FA list, there doesn't really appear to be that much "star" potential. The best they could probably hope for would be either Redd or Randolph. Both I think would fit well with Williams. JMO.

There really aren't too many (if any). Jamal Crawford can fill it up, but he's definitely not a go to guy by any means.

Redd can't stay healthy long enough to be a viable option IMO. I think the Nets best bet is facilitating more trades to find their scorer.

I don't see Allen leaving Boston. Crawford or Smith would be interesting but I think their best bet is trying to get both Randolph and Redd.

Mayo to the Bulls would be a nice move.

I think the Nets got a good deal out of this one. I really think Favors won't amount to much but then again he is only a rookie.
