February 21, 201115 yr James Jones. I thought the jumping over the hood of the car dunk was the most overrated dunk in slam dunk history. I bet 50 people in the NBA could do that. The 3 ball dunk took the most skill, imo. I think half of the NBA if not more could do it.

February 21, 201115 yr The 3 ball dunk was awful. The more I think and talk about that dunk the worse it gets. Plus he hung on the rim to get ball #3 in. Plus to even get 3 balls in he was dependent on Wall putting the ball at the rim so he could get in in. It also took how many times for Wall to get the pass right and we all know Wall can pass the rock just fine. 2 balls on 2 goals was way way better and showed more skill/leaping ability than the 3 ball dunk, IMO. The car dunk was definitely overblown but if you add the Clipper curse the fact that Blake Griffin isn't hurt is impressive.
February 21, 201115 yr The most overrated dunk in history is the Ced Ceballos dunk he got a 50 on when he admitted he could see through the banadana and just did a regular dunk.
February 21, 201115 yr Did we see the first-ever true "From the foul line" dunk? That was impressive.
February 21, 201115 yr Did we see the first-ever true "From the foul line" dunk? That was impressive. Yes indeed it was. Should have been a 50.
February 21, 201115 yr Did we see the first-ever true "From the foul line" dunk? That was impressive. Yes we did. I love Griffin, but I actually thought he was the weakest of the four dunkers.
February 21, 201115 yr Yes we did. I love Griffin, but I actually thought he was the weakest of the four dunkers. That's one of the bad parts of the dunk contest. It's completely subjective and just because Griffin was even taking part in the contest, he was surely going to get a boost in points just off of his popularity. They should wear masks and warm up attire to hide their identity. It might take away the bias from the dunk contest. :idunno:

Jordan could have done a simple one-handed dunk while standing under the basket and would have won that contest. Dominique was the better dunker on that day.
February 21, 201115 yr Will LBJ ever man up and do the dunk contest? Does LBJ care about anyone other than himself, specifically the fans?
February 21, 201115 yr Does LBJ care about anyone other than himself, specifically the fans? To me it is not about appeasing the fans as it is putting your money where your mouth is. He has teased it for some time that he would participate (sort of like the teasing of the '10 summer). Given the LBJ mystique of being almost super-human in his physical attribute, I am not sure he would be able to handle the pressure of it all.
February 21, 201115 yr Did anyone else here his press conference after? He MAKES me hate him. I tried not to at first but he brings it on himself.

February 22, 201115 yr Two things: 1 - I think LBJ was the MVP 2 - though BG struggled to make a few dunks, he is the most impressive of the dunkers, therefore I have no issue with him winning it.
