State Title Contenders????

Featured Replies

Who are legitimate contenders in 2011?

A- Beechwood, Mayfield, ???

AA- NCC, ???

AAA- ???

AAAA- Highlands, Lex Cath, Boyle Co., ???

AAAAA-???

AAAAAA- Trinity, ???

These are teams who are always a contender due to coaching and tradition or who have a lot of returning players from very good teams; who else???

In AAA it would have to be Bell Co. and Central.

Someone picked Corbin in AAA. They are in same Dist. with Bell Co. will have tough time winning Dist.

I agree with cellking. I got Bell County as the preseason favorite.

6A, Trinity is the only contender. They should win the title without breaking a sweat. Sad but true.

not a chance

I would have to see how NewCath gels before I say yes or no. Danville, as has been stated, has to be the favorite.

I thought that I heard that new cath was going to be down this year. no?

With Dudley leaving Bell, I'm not sure they will be the same team next year. Several key losses on the roster also may be too much for Bell to over come next year.

Good post. I can see where you are going with this. However, it could be fuel to the fire. Bell County may explode on the football field next year, in a good way. Whose to say.

I see Danville being the early favorite in the East and O'Cath the favorite in the West. YOu never know during playoff time though. Both teams may not get there.

Down is a relative term. They have a ton of talent to replace, but they will be fine by the end of the year

I see how we study for the bar now!!!!! hahahaha

Dudley was a Great Coach. Bell Co. did what you need to do they replaced him with a Great Coach. I don,t look for them to miss a beat. Coach Mills will get it done.

Catholic to me just has a ton of weapons back, with a youthful defense last year coming back. I see them a contender, but Danville and New Cath in the East have to be a great matchup before the championship. I will go with Danville and Catholic in the finals. Catholic beat Danville last year at Danville.

AAAAA-With Highlands gone I see Harlan Co. as the early favorite to come out of the east.
