Any one have an answer for me?

 

Each region gets one official for the state tournament. The 6th/7th region officials association represents both regions as do the 10th/11th regions officials association. So since they represent two regions they still only get one official per region making 14 officials. THen the KHSAA has two at large picks that can come from any of the regions. Hence 9th region has two going and the 10th/11th regions have two going.

As these officials enter the state tournament, it looks like there are several that will be first timers as I have bolded in the list. There might be a few more first timers but these are the ones that I have been told are first timers. Congratulations to all of these Officials, and I hope they all represent their Regions positively.

Wallen is from the 15th, his nature is to choose sides before the game and then is very blatant with many of his calls. If he decides to remain neutral, it typically does not result in many whistles. But on the other hand, when he picks sides, then we could be looking at a record for whistles in some of the tourney games.

I'm happy to see him on there. I think he does a good job and for someone to think other wise makes me think you must not like him as a person. If that's the case then that's fine but to say he's not a good official is just plain crazy!

This is probably correct but I believe he is the assigning secretary for the 16th Region so who thinks the coaches are not going to rub him the wrong way. Nearly everytime Mason goes to the 16th we seem to have Billman and if he is the best, the tenth Region tourney next year will be a disaster. Anyone who watched the finals of the AIT last year will know what I mean.

Last time I saw Mr. Billman officiate a game was a 7th grade game a couple of months ago. So little control that the game was actually stopped in overtime and called. The 8th grade game that was supposed to follow was cancelled and everybody went home.

 

Where was this game played at? Was it stopped because of the players out of control or the fans?

I was told that Mr. Billman wil become the assigning secretary next season. Darryl Smith is still the assigning secretary this season.

All I know was last summer when I was looking for Referee help, I was told by a knowledgeable person to call Joe Billman because he was the assigning Secretary for the 16th.

If you like Billman you must be from the 16th Region. Any team not from the 16th just does not get a fair shake from him. aka AIT finals last year. The 10th Region has some of the best Officials in the state and gives everyone a fair shake. If that is hard to please so be it.

I have heard nothing but complaints from coaches in the 10th and 11th that they would much rather have their own BBA Officials than any other region. This might change after the regional tournament but according to the ones I have questioned they are really disappointed they are not getting the 10th/11th BBA Officials. Will be interested to see what happens after the region. However the 10th will be exchanging with the 9th and they have two top notch officials in Tim O'Hara and James Pouncy going to The Fieldhouse. Good Luck to them. Also good luck to Bo Queen for his first State Tournament. I am sure he will represent the BBA well in the regional and the State Tournament.

I don't guess anyone from Franklin County had any say as for who was elected out of there region. Pretty sure Bo Queen would not have been recommended.
