The old gym we played in tonight is regulation. The new gym, that all the rest of thier games has and will be played in is college length...94 ft.

I ask the people that were selling tickets at Lexington Catholic why we were playing in the old gym....their answer. They were having something this Saturday night and they needed to start decorating.... My reply...this is Tuesday...they had no reply.

Bopper was the difference maker in this game as he has been all year. Even on the possessions he is out Robbie and Jaylen are handling the presses better. Now they only have to do it for a few possessions not like last year when they were the first options and they are quite capable of doing that and then throw in Moore as still another option.

Agreed. GRC won and that is what counts.

Bopper Stenzel and Hakeem Moore are a HUGE difference this year. I totally agree with you Goldie.

Bopper is as cool as he can be! ICE WATER, SON, ICE WATER!

Saturday night is "Mid-Knight Stakes" night. This is one of the largest fundraisers of the year for LexCath. Every year the Knights play a game in Alumni gym. It's usually the week before the fundraiser.

And there you have it.

They have been so valuable to this offense. They are getting the ball up the floor quickly and getting it to the right players.

Just got the official word....GRC will play Ballard at GRC on Wed the 9th of Feb. Varsity only game at 7:00. Get there early as the place will be packed!!!

Just got in from the game. Great win for GRC on the road. GRC started the game down 11-1 and then led 39-29 at halftime. GRC led by as many as 13 in the second half. LexCath closed the gap to one, but GRC made plays down the stretch. GREAT POSTEURIZING DUNK by Jaylen Daniels in the second quarter.

I would love to see Jaylen Daniel in some form of dunk contest. That kid can get up with anyone in the state.

I have been watching GRC for the last five years and every year Lexington Catholic has beaten us with that same press. I think we have people this year that does a good job handling that press that we have never had before. As much as Bopper handles the ball, he has very few turnovers. He and Robbie does a fine job of keeping the ball in the center of the floor and beating the press. Any time you dribble to the side against that press, and stop, you're trapped. a loss ball. Vinny does a good job in the middle receiving the ball against the press.. You have to get the ball down the floor before you can score (good logic) I just wish that when they have a two on one that they would make a pass. Robbie did a good defensive job on Schuette. Catholic hit some luck shots banking in those threes also.

You can take up all you want for those officials but I think they were horrible. They made some horrible charge-block calls and Catholic was all over the backs of the Clark players on rebounds and no calls were made. I didn't like them at all. All of Clarks big men played well. A good win for the CARDS.

Clark County boys outduel Lexington Catholic 71-63

Tuesday was a night to go old school in the old school.

With Lexington Catholic's main gymnasium being prepared for a fund-raising activity, the Knights moved down the hall to the court that was their home a decade ago.

What ensued was an old-fashioned nail-biter as No. 6 Clark County dealt the third-ranked Knights a 71-63 loss.

Vinny Zollo, the 6-foot-9 senior who is headed to Western Kentucky, led Clark (20-4) to its 11th consecutive win with 19 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and three steals.

Jaylen Daniel, a 6-6 senior, added 18 points, six boards, three assists and three steals.

Corey Rogers, a 6-5 senior who a day earlier was considered doubtful because of a sinus infection, came off the bench to score 14 points.

Humphrey praised those players as well as Robbie Stenzel, a 6-4 senior bound for Eastern Kentucky. He finished with seven points, four rebounds and four assists
