10th "A" Moved Back A Day Due To Snow Storm

Featured Replies

The Touchstone Energy 10th Region Boys Basketball Tournament Games for Thursday have been postponed due to the weather situation. Most schools are closed and we have a prediction of 4-6 inches this afternoon with a low tonight of 9 degrees. We are hopeful of playing on Friday evening. We will play the Thursday schedule Friday night, the semifinals Saturday night and the Championship at 5 PM Sunday.

The tournament is being contested at Regents Hall at NKU.

Thanks Mustang, Your the Man!!!!!

Any updates to this for Friday? Will they play tonight?

No official word as of now. Mel Webster, tournament manager, promises a statement by noon - probably earlier.

NKU is closed until 10am this morning. We will need to verify with them that the parking lots will be cleared (or at least servicable).

Paris is go, and Brossart is go at this time.

I will post an update when a decision has been made.

The 10th Region All "A" Classic will resume tonight (Friday, January 21st) at Regents Hall - NKU with the lower bracket quarterfinals being played.

At 6:30pm St. Patrick will take on Paris and at 8pm Brossart will face Augusta.

Listen to both games live via the http://www.bmustangs.com website.

The semi-finals will be played tomorrow night at 6:30pm when Bracken County plays Deming and at 8pm when tonight's two winners hook up.

The Championship Game is set for Sunday at 5pm

Thanks

Is the tournament the reason Brossart went to school today on a delay, while Campbell County and others are out and there is a level 2 emergency? Deming did the same thing a week ago hosting the girls A tournament, everyone else in the other counties was out except for Deming on a Friday. Makes you wonder if basketball plays into cancellations, etc., especially in Deming's case last week, where they never go to school even for a snowflake falling

No!!! The decision to have school or not to have school is not impacted in any way by a sporting event at Brossart. There are numerous times Brossart has school with private transportation when the County is called off. However, Brossart did not have school today. The 10th region games are scheduled to resume action tonight as Mustang previously posted. Hopefully, you will get a chance to make it to NKU's Regents Hall and watch some basketball tonight.

Brossart is not in school today. Originally planned on a 90 minute delay, but cancelled school due to the Level 2 snow emergency.

Sorry they were the only school on delay when left for work. How's the Double A from Campbell County to the Interstate in :D? in extreme Northern Kentucky is what meant to say

^ AA was OK this morning at 8 AM so I am sure it is fine now.

Our only concern was what was the Safe Thing To Do Period. I didn't decide anything til I got the ok from Brossart, Paris, Augusta and St. Patrick
