NCC has way to many weapons and Somerset hasn't seen a defense like this.

NCC is a slow and plodding team. Make sure to tell the coach...

I think the Breds win by at least 14. It should attract a nice crowd since it's the only game in town. I'll be on the wall outside the gate if anyone would like to say hello.

Why has Newport Central been playing it's games at Holmes? Is it because Newport has been playing at home, or are the two even affiliated? I know they lost, so will the game now be at Newport's field, or Holmes'? I've even heard rumors of the game being at Highlands. Can anyone shed some light?

Are the Jumpers better in the mud, or on turf. That might speed up the decision...

I would guess 0% chance at Highlands.

Newport has been at home and the field was in bad shape because of the downpour during the NCC/Bellevue game, so playing two nights in a row on it would be nearly impossible.

Holmes field was available and they are letting NCC use it. It is in excellent shape. If I had to guess, with rain predicted for Tuesday and Thursday, it would be at Holmes. One consideration is that the Holmes stands do not hold that many and since this is the only game in NKY maybe a larger stadium would be in order depending on how many Somerset would bring.

I spoke to the A.D. at holmes friday night he said they are paving the lot this week ,they do not know if it will be finished in time for us next week.

I hope they get it finished in time Holmes field advantage has been great for NCC

Isn't Paul Brown Stadium open on Friday nights?

Middlesboro in 98 I think won against Beechwood

This will be an uphill battle for the thickett bunnies

I have no dog in this race so good luck to both

The last team to win up here was Pikeville in 89. They beat the Tigers 49-20.

A KHSAA playoff game has to be played in KY. Nice thought......

As of now, the game will be played Friday night, 7:30 p.m., Newport Stadium.

How will playing a very good team on the road effect Somerset? So far the Jumpers have only played 4 road games. Carroll County(3-8), Harlan(5-6), Cumberland(5-5), and Pineville(3-7)

Valid point (and the Carroll Co was neutral site) although it should be noted that they won all those games. Then again it is not like NCC has a home field so maybe it all equals out.
