Keep Talk'n , Everyone knows Belfry's resume' is impressive. However, the Pirates are yet to play a #1 seed in the playoffs. You have to admit SC had a great run, and the majority of Belfry fans were glad to see them win. However, these Russell kids have been pulling for Belfry because to be the best you have to BEAT the BEST and Belfry is the BEST until proven otherwise. I think the Russell kids will step it up, and I don't EVER predict but I don't think it will be 47-7! I think these Russell kids may have their mouthes watering for some PAPA! May the best TEAM WIN!!!

Here we go again. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But unless you are one of the 3 backs or for that matter a player at all. How do you KNOW for a fact that it won't happen?

 

I think it will be a hard fought game between 2 equally good teams. May the best team win, But let's try to keep this thread on track and lay off the trash talking. i would like to see this thread go all the way till game time Friday.

I think this game will be an absolute barnburner - so give me the team that carries a pitchfork and breathes fire. I'll take the Devils, by two in double overtime.

Frances, Can I make some reservations at the Bavier Arms is it BYOSB( bring your own sleeping bag) or do you provide? I also have a 2 year old does he stay for free? Do you prefer mastercard or visa? Well if the Devils can pull it off I hope there is some room for the Blazer's Family. And we want a homecooked breakfast also! None of that contintental breakfast. Some biscuits& gravy, ham, and grits!!!

A BELFRY/ RUSSELL REMATCH!!!

 

Blue Blazer said the same thing I said to you guys over a week ago when I posted on one of your threads that we were hoping for a rematch...You guys are the two time defending 2A State Champs and EVERYONE from Russell has great respect for all you've accomplished...We feel like we've been right there and with a break or two, we could have done a "Devil Dance" or 2 on the carpet these last few years as well...This is our 3rd semi-final in the last 4 years...With the exception of you guys, no one from the East can match that success...We're kind of tired of being the bridesmaid!! Your great coach waited a long time for his first championship & now he's won 2 in a row...Our great coach got his first almost 30 years ago and we'd like to see him get his second before he retires...Hopefully he will get a chance to do that this year...We are proud to get to return the hospitality you showed us last year...You guys were great hosts!!

 

This will he an "old school" game in a grand old stadium much like last year...Two teams that are going to line up and say,(for the most part), "stop our running game if you can"...I know both teams are excited and will definitely leave it all on the field...The best team will win & hopefully bring another championship to Eastern Ky the following week...

 

I'll be extremely surprised if you'll hear any trash talk from Russell fans this week...We're going to tell you why we feel we will win but I do not expect any disrespect toward the Pirates from our fans in their comments...Hopefully, this thread will be one of the longest ever on BGP!!

I've just checked the register, and it would appear that we have some room at the Inn that Friday night. It is BYOSB, and the little man stays for free (does he have his own Ashland gear, or do I need to provide it)? There will be no charge, so no need to bring the Mastercard or Visa.

 

As for that homecooked breakfast - it sounds great! Will you need a store bought gravy mix, or do you make it from scratch?? I'll pass on the ham, but since I love the pork, I'll make sure that you have a couple of new packages of bacon to work with. :thumb:

 

In all seriousness, we haven't finished the basement yet, but we do have an extra queen sized bed, and there is plenty of floor space for those that are heading this way.
