Personally, I believe so, especially with playing on the road against the Lakers in their house. I believe that Miami has been looking good over their streak and will likely get even better.

Bynum comin back has messed the Lakers rhythm up a bit. He is not even close to being in good condition. They have over half the season to get on the same page. They haven't been playing good, I wasn't shocked at all by the score. Kobe said it best,this game means more to them than it does to us.

If these two meet in the Finals it is going to mean a lot, especially if the Heat can somehow beat them by double digits again. I don't care how good of a team you are, that would be something that would stick in their minds going forward. Regardless of what Kobe said, this was a big game for both teams, Christmas Day, and the game NBA fans have waited for all season. Lakers laid an egg, Heat looked like world beaters. This game can have an impact going forward IMO.

I don't really feel like this game has very much impact on the Lakers moving forward. However, I think it definitely does help to give the Heat more confidence as they continue to gel together.

Lakers didn't lay an egg at all that's about how they have been playing for a while now. This game meant nothing to them, it might have to Kobe a little but not to the Lakers as a whole.

However I do like the way Miami defended the Lakers. Miami has by far the best team defense in the NBA IMO, and Wade is one of the few who can truly hope to guard Kobe. Don't the Lakers always look like crap at some point of the season? If a gun was to my head I would probably still pick them to win the title.

In all fairness the two teams never matched up in a Finals. The NBA is a matchup league, I don't know that the Cavs didn't match up too well with the Lakers the last few years. Maybe they couldn't have beat them, but I think they would have given them much more of a problem than the Magic did.

I think Boston swept the Lakers in the regular season last year.

About as meaningless of an NBA game as there is...Lakers are still the odds on favorites to win the title, with only the Celtics providing a realistic opposition IMO.

Kobe didn't say it like that. It was a bad thing in the context that KB used it when I heard it. He said "the games mean more to our opponents than they do to us" and he was talking about LA having a poor attitude.
