Nobody has the job at this point because no candidates have formally interviewed for the position. A screening and hiring process has been established. CC will hire the best, most qualified candidate that will take their football program to the next level.

I was told by a Campbell County player that interviews begin 1st week of January and they hope to have someone in place by mid-January.

What about Brossart from Dixie?

It sure would make for some great football humor if "Brossart" gained control of the "Camels" program.

If CCHS hires Kenny Turner, they've made the biggest mistake ever. I'd still like to see Stephen Lickert, no offense to Lee Teegarden, or Coach Turner.

 

Would be interesting to hear a name attached to this candidate from Texas as it seems nearly every job open in the state someone from Texas has applied for it. Also, there are many mistakes made in coaching hires, but hiring Kenny Turner would not be a mistake, particularly in NKY.

Hiring Kenny Turner would be the biggest kind of mistake, what has he done other than run two successful programs into the ground? Surely the Camels can find someone who has had success and hasn't left any program he has been associated with in shambles, don't you think?

Please allow me to qualify my attempt at humor above. I was only referring to the crosstown rivalry between Bishop "Brossart" and Campbell County. This was not aimed at Coach Brossart as I have heard that he is a good man and coach.

Would Dan Wagner from NewCath be a good fit? I beleive he works for Campbell Co. Schools. Although he stayed on at NewCath after being passed over for Eviston, I am sure he knows he has hit the ceiling there. After winning another state championship, it would be a good time to move on.

Today was the closing day on the job search. From what I've heard over 40 people from all over the country applied and to get the job. I would think an announcement would be made mid January.

I believe interviews are to start this week. No names though.

I wonder if Mike Woolf applied for this job? He was an assistant there at one time.

He would be a great one to get! He's got a good thing going out there at Ryle though. I feel that he is a huge part of why the Raiders have done as well as they have since Bryson took over the program. He's a terriffic coach, even if he is getting OLD (I know you read this woolfy)
