As ugly as the action on the floor was sadly it wasn't as ugly as the student sections .

Cheers heard tonight in a non-offensive summary:

A player on the floor was called a feminine hygiene product while shooting FTs by the entire student section.

One student section pointed at their crotches and instructed the other student section as to what they could do.

One girl came out to halfcourt during halftime to make fun of the girls from the other school. She carried a baby on her hip and had a pillow in her shirt to characterize the other school's girls as tramps.

One student section chanted that they had been successful in having sex.

Sadly, the administration/faculty from neither school acted. The only one to address one of the above was Sheriff Helmig.

Neither school came across well tonight. Great to have student support by each school needs to have an adult in front making sure that they do not cross the line as they did tonight.

Kids will be kids. Glad we're there to watch basketball and not them. The CCH crowd should give everyone a class on proper cheer etiquette

Kids will be kids. That's why the blame for this goes on the administration from both schools - the adults of the bunch.

CCH kids have one or two teachers/deans/principals standing right in front because, as you say, kids will be kids.

And, yes, I had you as one of the two finalists in the "who would bring CCH into this discussion" contest.

Actually I was serious about the instructions......please let's talk basketball here not crowd control

What else can we talk about on the b-ball side?

How many did Brown end up with?

Not sure yet, but I think 20+, I think the big guys from both teams had their hands tied the first half because of some touchy foul calls. Conner was able to throw several bench players on the floor to help stay in the game for the first half.

Did Pitts see any varsity time tonight? Congrats to Boone on a great win.

WOW. A serious egg laid by the Cougars tonight. Sounds like an embarrassing second half performance. Congrats to the Rebels. Brown is one load to handle. I think he will average 18-20 points this year.

Wow sounds like Boone really took care of business but judging by the score, I'd say neither team was very good offensively.

Brown is gonna be a load this year for opposing teams. His strength makes him very tough to defend. Can't wait to see him against Knox of Holmes. Talk about a lot of contact that will be going on down low.

I, too, think Conner is better offensively than this showing but 30 points in 32 minutes with the personnel that Conner has, has to have some Conner faithful worrying.

Yes. A little overmatched right now. Tried to dribble through traps too often. Didn't play after that. I'd expect he'll get a few minutes as the year goes on. They seem to have Stanley slotted as the backup PG right now.

Pitts only played the last 20 seconds of the varsity game and did not touch the ball. Not sure when you think he tried to dribble through traps and get benched for it. Are you thinking about a different player? Maybe Boateng? He played a minute or two early and did not go back in the rest of the game if I remember correctly.

I stand corrected. #11 is Boateng. He's the one that played briefly in the first half.

Sounds like it is early in the season. I don't believe either team will play like this come February. Conner was ranked number 1 pre season for a reason and Boone only scored 51 pts?

Trevan had 22.

7 TOTAL baskets between the two teams in the 2nd half.

Good defense? or two teams struggling with offense?

Good defense? or two teams struggling with offense?

Defenses were solid but it was mainly both teams simply struggling offensively with passes and shots.
