Boone has scored 54 and 51 in back to back games. Does this concern any Boone fans? OR is it just early season struggles offensively?

Guard play/perimeter play is key to good offenses and not many teams have enough perimeter play. Dixie and Holmes seem to lead in that area.

Which is why I think those two could end up being the best two in the region but still a lot of basketball to be played to settle that debate on the court.

 

Should be an exciting year of nky basketball.

Brown seemed to be the last one standing in a game where 40 fouls were called. Interesting how the refs called this game and then the St. Henry/Highlands game hardly any fouls were called all night in a very physical game.

 

Trevan Brown is a Top 10 player in the Region thus far in the season.

Boone usually isn't a real thrill on the scoreboard by putting up a bunch of points, but as long as their long arm defense can force teams to work hard for a single shot and not allow second chance baskets they can keep the scores in 50"s. If they choose to run and gun, that may be a different story that doesn't suit the teams line up. Once again, Boone did not have a players firing, and had to sit key players for foul trouble, so once they get everyone going, they may put up 70+.

Key phrase, wasnt it Karen Carpenter that sang "We've only just begun" ? Teams certainly dont want to peak too early.

This game wasn't called tightly IMO. There were at least 10 more that could have been called. Rough, ugly game.

Wow sounds like Boone really took care of business but judging by the score, I'd say neither team was very good offensively.

 

Brown is gonna be a load this year for opposing teams. His strength makes him very tough to defend. Can't wait to see him against Knox of Holmes. Talk about a lot of contact that will be going on down low.

 

I, too, think Conner is better offensively than this showing but 30 points in 32 minutes with the personnel that Conner has, has to have some Conner faithful worrying.

 

I also think the Brown Pike match up with Boone Dixie will be a good one, there will be a lot of contact in that game as well. Pike and Trammel played with a lot of the Boone boys before and during high school.

Although there were some questionable calls and no calls, the refs did have better control of this game than the other games I've seen so far this year. I did notice that they called a lot of fouls in the first half and let them play off an on in the second half. A lot of the second half fouls for Conner were at the end when they were trying to get the ball back after the Boone 1/1. Both teams struggled a bit from the free throw line.

Who cares how many points they score? Boone finds a way ton win every game. Boone is by far the best team in the region hands down.. Where Boone struggles is depth off the bench..
