What was he going to do let the play clock run out? He couldn't call a timeout again.

The ball was on the 7 yard line. 5 yard penalty would not have been the end of the world...

It's a chip shot field goal even with the loss of 5 yards, I could care less whether the Bengals win or lose, but I was SCREAMING at the radio "DON'T JUMP"!!!

All the great things they did last year and it's all been wiped away with the awful display this season.

I am a big Bengals fan. This is the first time in at least seven years that I did not know who they were playing and did not get a update until the final was posted on BGP...

I've seen the quotes I know what they said. I have a hard time believing they were just going to take the penalty for fun if they didn't draw them offsides. It worked out for them that's for sure, easy for them to say that now.

It makes no difference on a chip shot FG. From the 7 or the 12 is irrelevant...

The Bengals should hire Jimmy Johnson and let him trade all the players and stock pile draft picks and let the rebuilding begin!

They are idiots for doing that but they were going for it, they didn't lineup to just try and draw them offsides.

No way in the world he goes for that and risks losing home field when a FG ties it. No way whatsoever.

You must have been listening to that wonderful Bengals broadcast team. They kept saying that the Saints were going to snap the ball. No way that ball ever gets snapped and risk not at least tieing the game with a field goal. Only the Bengals give away a game like that.

Just got back from the game and I think there is no blame for Palmer in this one. This loss rest solely at the hands of the coaching staff. You have to remind the players about the situation IMO.

I feel blessed because I've watched a lot of football and I've never actually saw that offsides trick work. It's kind of like faking to 3rd and then throwing to 1st in baseball.

Only the Bengals...

^Steelers just got Baltimore on the same thing.

I was at the game. I'm not complaining I don't know if I would have lasted into overtime. It was really cold.
