Only the Bengals fall for the "lets draw them off sides trick". Nice clock management at the end.

 Of all the ways I thought they would find to lose that game, they really outdid themselves with that one.

Please, please, please fire Marvin Lewis. This game has mismanagement and lack of discipline written all over it. Trying to run a spike play with 12 seconds to go may be the worst head coaching decision I have seen in a long time. Before that play starts, you say if my man is tackled in bounds I have to use the last time out and you call it instantly. Marvin mismanages time more than any coach I have seen on any level from Pee Wee on up. It is time for Marvin to go.

The Bengals find a new way to lose. I'm impressed, actually.

Blame #9. Oh wait, ...

Actually, does 9 get part of the blame for trying to run a spike play versus calling a time out? Probably not but ....

Sure he gets part of it, but can't any player on the field or the head coach call a TO? Does he get the blame for jumping off side? Does he get the blame for failing to call a TO after the Saints ran the 3rd down play? Does he get the blame for Marving being a complete and total idiot?

Yes, he should get part of the blame for that. So should Bratkowski & Lewis. Any player can call a TO. It's the coaching staff's responsibility to tell Palmer, who should then relay it to the players in the huddle. Palmer should immediately be signaling timeout when Leonard caught the pass to the official in the backfield. Finally, the coaches can also now call timeouts from the sidelines...

All in all, it's tough to fault the offense when you put up 30 points.

I only blame the coach and the rest of the staff for this loss.

They are idiots for doing that but they were going for it, they didn't lineup to just try and draw them offsides.

Saints coach Sean Payton on 4th & 2 play: "It's really a no-brainer freeze. We were trying to draw offside."

What was he going to do let the play clock run out? He couldn't call a timeout again.
