Top 20 RB's in 3A

Featured Replies

Who do you think are the top running back's in 3A football?

Jordan Kramer of Highlands, not very big, but very very fast.

Sophomore T.R. Christopher of Bell County and maybe Senior Jeff Howard also from Bell County.

Great RB! I think him and Shane Isreal at Lex Cath are two of the best small backs in the state. It should be fun to watch those two Friday night!

Jordan Kramer has to be considered one of the best backs in the state. His #'s for the last 5 games are unbelieveable. If Jordan would have played tailback instead wingback, he probably runs for 2000 yds or more for the year. He kind of reminds me of Tomlison (sp) for San Diego Chargers.

No way.

My boy T.R. Christopher from Bell, who is only a sophomore. Look out ;)

No way.

He had close to 500 yds the last 3 games not being the only ballcarrier and not playing the whole game. I know Dale would never let a back get that many carries to get 2000 yds. HHS has too many good runningbacks to get that many yds. by a single back . If given the chance, the Birds could have a player or two with some pretty allsome #'s

But you’re forgetting who Highlands played earlier in the season. He would have done no better against Colerain, Louisville St. X or Columbus DeSales than the other backs. Other than CovCath, Highlands hasn’t really played against a team with all that great of a defense in the last five outings. Nothing against Kramer at all, he’s a great back, but lets not sell our other backs short that did their job very well when they were given the chance.

Wayne Stevens has kept up his work the past two years, even with teams keying on him and being on a week team such as rowan he still gets good yardage and deserves to be on this thread and in my opinion even all-state at least honorable mention

Emanuel Taylor (E.T.) Junior HOPTKINSVILLE 1,580 yards rushing on 156 rushing attempts with 19 touchdowns. 3 games this year E.T. didn't get a carry in the 2nd half and 1 game he sat out the 1st quarter.

6'0 200 bruising runner playing his 1st year of Varsity football. See's the hole and explodes. One of the strongest players on the team and it's all natural. After a year in Coach Jones weight program he will be a monster in the backfield next season.

I've only seen two AAA teams and Kramer is a playmaker. I would like to see what type of numbers he could post if he were the main back.

Shane Israel has got to be mentioned. In a passing offense for Lex Cath, he has 139 atts for 866 yards and 15 tds, and he can also be used in the passing game for 18 catches for 272 yards and 8 tds. The kid can get the ball in the endzone and that's all that matters, and he is probably the smallest running back in 3A at 5'5. (stats according to Lex Cath's website)
