Eminencefront
Does anyone know if this is true? I saw on my son's (who is friends with many brossart players) facebook page that some of their players posted: "It's just not fair!...We want Reinhart to stay!!" He has done a remarkable job out there, I'd hate for this to be true. Someone please shed some light!

Pile Driver
Mustang is the voice of Brossart athletics. Im' sure he can shed some light on the situation.
TAC
He is not out. He is looking for a teaching job and it may jeopardize his ability to coach at Brossart. From what I hear he is very happy there and the administration is very happy with him.

From what I hear he is very happy there and the administration is very happy with him. That makes sense. I was just wondering if something else had happy. Because from what all my son's friends say, he is a pretty good coach and the players seem to like him. What subject(s) is he certified to teach in? Mustang
I can only echo the sentiments of TAC. Coach Reinhart spoke to the team on the Monday following their elimination from the Class 1-A playoffs, and stated that he wanted to be honest and upfront with them - that he was going to have to seek a teaching job in order to support his family. Kyle, a senior on the Mustangs football team will graduate and head off to college next fall, and Matt's two daughters are intent on attending Brossart High School. He has made some family sacrafices over the past four years in order to dedicate himself to Brossart football, and we are quite happy with him as our head football coach. Coach Reinhart's major is in Anthropology and secondary degree in Social Studies. Brossart simply has no teaching opportunities at the present time. We are all hopeful that things can be worked out so that Coach Reinhart can remain in his position as head coach of the Mustangs.
sportsfan41
Can he teach in another district and still coach at Brossart?

nees1212
Yes as long an there isn't someone at the school that would like to take the caoching position This has to be the dumbest rule in high school sports. I've seen a very good coach lose his coaching position because some teacher thought he could coach.

goaheadandjump
Understand that social studies jobs are very rare and tough to find.....................And.............when you take that teaching job the majority of social studies teachers are male and do coach, making it a position that usually requires some coaching duties to be fulfilled at the school you are teaching. Social studies and PE teachers are as they say "a dime a dozen". No knock on Coach Reinhart just a fact that if you are a science, math ,or special ed teacher you can call some shots as they are in demand.............Not so much for SS or PE
EQUUS GREVYI
Yes as long an there isn't someone at the school that would like to take the caoching position I am not sure that is the case in parochial schools.
Eminencefront
Has the school given him a deadline for a decision yet? Or is the administration going to wait until April/May like most schools do to let him know about teaching/coaching there? I am sure this is a tough situation to handle. I am sure they want Coach Reinhart to stay. However, is it a good idea to hold on until the spring and possibly lose a coach?
