Can any 1-a team even stay with this Beechwood team?

Featured Replies

Hazard has more weapons than that 2008 Hazard team.

Do they still have the cheerleader that looked like a blonde snookie from Jersey Shore?

Hazard and Mayfield can beat Beechwood IMO.

So can Frankfort and LHC.

OK, I am trying to stay out of this silly little Mayfield thread but I will jump in one more time. Mayfield has been #1 all year and looked at as being as dominate in 1A this year as LCA was last year. So if anything this thread should be asking if anyone can hang with Mayfield. Beechwood hasn't even been ranked #2 this season. It has been Hazard and Louisville Holy Cross 2 and 3 with Beechwood at #4. So you see how silly Mayfield rookie57's thread title is? I am telling everyone, the team you better keep an eye on is Hazard. No one is talking about them and they are rolling over people. They are AVERAGING 50 points a game.

How is this a Mayfield thread? They are talking about Beechwood.

And I agree about Hazard. Maybe the most overlooked team in the state.

Look who started it. It is a Mayfield fan apparently trying to take the target off the back of his team, the season long #1 team in 1A.

I agree, they scare me to death. I know far to little about them or the teams they have played and that leaves a uneasyness for me but I have to other major road blocks in front of me for now that have my attention

I'm not doubting what Hazard is capable of, a lot do not know of them from other areas. Is this year's team better than the one from two years ago?

ok voice of reason, there is no bigger fan of MHS than i am, lets get that out of the way, having said that, I"m sorry you thinik my post is silly, I was being serious. MHS is solid, no doubt, quick, can run or throw, and very good on defense. They are averaging 49 pts a game and the starters have only played the whole game 2 times this year! Having said all that, I watched the Beechwood NCC game and they looked like the better team to me even with a controversial call at the end, Beechwoods ball carriers just refuse to go down! Thats my story, I'm sticking to it!

Hazard will be the Class A state champs.

You can stick to it, but no one. including TP, believes it was a serious thread. MHS has the talent and experience to clearly be the team to beat. BW has some talent, but with 7-8 new players (all underclassmen) on both sides of the ball this year we have no idea how they will handle the bright lights. Other than QB, all specialty positions are underclassmen so we just hope they play the game and not feel the magnitude of each game and panic.

Mayfield has been there done that and they get the nod. Your thread shoud've been "Can anyone stay with MHS" and it would have had more credibility and people would have taken you more serious.

I thought i had read posts in here that Beechwood was king of 1-a football?

Mayfield could compete for any state championship in Kentucky this year, except 6A.

Where do you purchase your tickets to fantasyland?

They are without a doubt. They have won all of their titles in Class A. Granted I know that they are a few other teams would say if they were in Class A Beechwood wouldn't have as many Trophies at the school. I say hogwash! We beat the teams we had to play! Those 2 other teams I'm sure are pretty happy with the AA titles they won in that span.
