Having been ousted from my basement getaway by my teen son who insists on playing video games at all hours of the day, I was forced to reconsider my options. We have 2 rooms in our house that we NEVER use, the dining room and the living room. Therefore, I decided to take over the living room and convert it into my new music room (hehehehe)!!! I've got my guitars, piano, electronic drum kit, and stereo in place now. With the move, I have also dusted off the old turntable, and it is now back in action. Jim and AA, you guys are correct, the old vinyl RULES!! I am so enjoying the re-discovery of a lost art.

I, too, have jumped back into vinyl in the past year and love it. Of course, my kids want to know how something so big can store so few songs but what do they know!

My kids always laugh at my Peaches crates and the elaborate (to them) process I go through to play an album.

I used to cart 6 milk crates full of albums to Morehead and back when I went to school there. By FAR the bulkiest and heaviest stuff in the car - my clothes took up much less space.
