November 9, 201015 yr I'm in baby, bring it on. I will always love the Bengals. Sad some people have to associate being a fan of a team with the ownership. I could care less who owns this team. I am a lifetime fan. Love the fair weather fans who are full of cynicism. Seriously, who do you root for? Who ever is winning at the time? People love to bash the Bengals, but rarely do you hear about the team they pull for on Sunday afternoon. I honestly thought the better team lost the game this evening. Once again, the Bengals beat themselves, not their opponent. Ha, this attitude has made Mike Brown a very wealthy man over the years with putting a competetive team on the field twice. I love the people who act like they are die hards and get on fans who use their eyes to see that while everyone else gets better the bengals stand pat or get worse. You can thank the fair weather fans if and when the bengals are ever a good team because they voted with their pocket books to get a better team. By re-upping year after year you are voting that you like 30 years of 3 playoff appearance football, but hey no one will call you a fair weather fan! :thumb::lol:
November 9, 201015 yr Just some observations from the game last night. I have to give credit where credit is due. HT nailed it with the 6 pt. spread. I also have to give alot of credit to the Bengal fans, not sure if it was simply because of MNF or what, but the ratio had to be 90% Bengal fans/10% Steeler fans. Great showing from the crowd. No clue why on the first drive that they didn't run Benson on the third and 1. Terrible decision. I have finally convinced several of my friends how thick skulled E.R.El really is. You'd think as a QB in college, he would understand where the hot read and what route he's supposed to run, and he seldom does. It happened twice last night. He did throw a TD on the reverse, but it was a better adjustment to a severely underthrown ball by Wallace. Wallace is super fast. TO is still a stud. That suspended camera over the field is mesmerizing. Kickers are freaks, whether good or bad. Got 3 hours sleep after the drive home.
November 9, 201015 yr As bad as the challenge/no challenge was can anyone explain why the Bengals continue to have the ball with under two minutes left in the half almost in FG range and the other team scores at the end of the half? Seriously run the ball one time to run the clock down and you still have as much time as you need and the opponent has 35-40 seconds less to score. Marvin is the most overmatched coach in the NFL. He loses 80% of his challenges and has no clue how to manage the clock.
November 9, 201015 yr Does this game cement the fact that Palmer isn't the problem? They have issues. QB isn't one of them.
November 9, 201015 yr Does this game cement the fact that Palmer isn't the problem? They have issues. QB isn't one of them. I think it proves that he isn't the MAJOR problem. He's struggled pretty mightily this year in some games, but has played really well in others. OC, DLine, and Oline are the main issues.

It's hard to be a good QB when your coach and GM are idiots and you need major help on both lines. The throw he made on TO's second score wasn't a throw most guys could make.
November 9, 201015 yr I think the lines played much better than they have been. Special teams killed the bengals last night.

He's still got a ton of talent, his problem right now seems to be motivation. I don't he's handling being 2nd fiddle very well.

He's struggled pretty mightily this year in some games, but has played really well in others. OC, DLine, and Oline are the main issues. I agree. He is not an elite QB like we all might have thought he would have been after his first few years. So since he ended up not being elite, most people for most reasons just thinks he is bad. I really have not understood all this talk from Bengal fans. Its amazing that a lot of fellow Bengal fans forgot what a bad QB looks like, because we went through alot of them until Palmer. Palmer is not a bad QB, and definitely not bottom 5 or 10 in the league. He is in the top half of QB's in the league, and can win games with him. If you ask the coaches for Pittsburgh and the Ravens they definitely would agree. They have seen what he can do to them, and has put many game winning drives against the Steelers and Ravens. He probably does it last night if Shipley catche that ball. He is the type of QB we need in this division, becuase he can win against those defenses. It would be stupid to go out and draft a QB in the 1st round, or get a free agent QB to start over him, because they won't do much better. Imagine putting a first round pick behind this line, and he would be the next David Klinger. They have many problems besides Palmer. Palmer has been inconsistent at times, however that is not a position they need to fix.

(Well 2nd half at least) Really? Pittsburgh had pressure on Palmer a lot last night, and even had some sacks where no one even touched a guy. The one touchdown throw to TO, Palmer got absolutely drilled by a guy coming off the right side of the line. Andre Smith according to the stats gave up 2 sacks alone last night, and even got benched after one of them. His technique was really bad, the ESPN guys after the game even talked about how unimpressive he was. Also Dave Lapham talked about this too. There were a few times he did alright, but for the most part he didn't look to great.

I thought the ol played allright and if you don't think the dl played any better than they have been, I must have watched the wrong game. The ESPN guys were talking how good he was playing during the game and keeping Woodley off the qb.
