Trinity 55 Pleasure Ridge Park 6

Great win Rocks.

Trinity goes on a 55-0 run to end the game.

1 down 4 to go!

It was very cold and windy. I didn't notice it near as much in the second half. GO ROCKS!!!

Despite the score, I didn't think T looked sharp at all wheras the Panthers came out very ready to take it to the Rocks. Leading 7-6, T scores aTD with about 1:35 left in the first half, and then scores 2 moreTDs within the first few minutes of the second half (21 in the 3rd quarter) to pull away. T seemed lackluster for the most part in all 3 phases. Survive and advance.

Next up for T-----a rematch with Manual.

Ugly first half by the Rocks. Much work to be done. We're lucky we get to get better.

You know you're a special team when you win 55-6 and it wasn't one of your better games. Except for their opponents, I have a feeling fans are going to have the opportunity to enjoy a rare treat for the next couple years.

All I know is if our Bistro plans fall through next week, when Mrs. S and I are up there, we're getting our free personal sized queso. :thumb:

In a five game tournament, you are going to have one clunker. Hopefully, we got ours out of the system in the first half. Hatcher will be back next week which should improve the pass rush. Giving up a few too many deep balls. How about Dalen Dawkins and Jabari Jordan? They were exceptional tonight.

James Quick reminds me of a wr version of Shaun Alexander. Just runs by people with plenty left.

Trinity: 335-rushing; 213-passing; 3 punts for 21.6 average (one was for 1 yard); 8 penalties -149.

PRP: 57-rushing; 177 yards and...13-37-3-passing. Plus about 2 dropped TD passes.

T's all around kicking game (KO's, punting and FG's) is about as bad as I've ever seen it. On the other side, the retrurn game is very good.

I said the same thing in the Highlands thread....

Business as usual for the Rocks.

Really hoping Ryle wins out to set up a game with T in Union.

Good luck to the Rocks next week.

A blowout win is a blowout win! Rocks were flat and focus was not there at the beginning of the game. The Rock star sophomores starting in their first playoff game of many to come, came out a little over confident and short on focus. Typical 1 verses 4 matchup. Coach Beatty fixed that in a hurry at halftime and looked better in the second half. The run game blocking created an interstate for Dawkins and Bishop. Defense will be at full strength next week with Jason Hatcher back in the lineup. He's a great pass rusher and requires a double team. T's DB's need to work on pass coverage across the middle. That will be corrected at film on Saturday morning. I hope the PRP kids that were hurt are OK! The center was a real trooper playing in the second half on a taped high ankle sprain. Bring on Manual next week and lets live to play another day... GO ROCKS! #20!

Congrats Rocks. Keep it rolling. Hope that we got a bad half out of the way. Cannot afford to do so in the coming week(s). Still a learning process for these "young guys.":thumb::thumb:
