November 3, 201015 yr I'm looking at basic math. And one vote out of 100 is a lot more powerful than one vote out of 435. I personally want the goods to stop a comin' all around. It's all fine either way. I just wanted to find out why S69 would trade one Senator for a Congressman. And, I believe I made my case for why I feel differently. I'm quite sure (and fine with it) that I'm in the minority.

Yarmouth is over a district that is quite different than the rest of the state so I would say that his election probably means more to his constituents as a whole but I still wouldn't concede that his vote is more powerful than Paul's. With a lot of the constituents in Yarmouth's district...the House is really the only way that they will get an elected official in line with their views.

I'll believe a Senator is more powerful when he causes something good to happen for the state of Kentucky (including Louisville). Until then, it's all a mathematical equation.

November 3, 201015 yr I actually like voting for House candidates much more than Senate candidates as I believe the House is much more in-tune with the people's needs. House terms are only 2 years long as compared to 6 for Senators so thus I feel like they have to appease and represent the people that put them in office much more than Senators do as they will most likely want to get re-elected. The House vote is a much more personal vote given the term limits and the things that come with him if the candidate hopes to get re-elected. As for the big race in our state, I voted for Rand Paul as some others have stated on here. I'm not completely sold on all of his views but I just didn't like how Conway ran his campaign. I felt like he ran away from the issues and instead tried to tear Rand Paul down. Elections are about the issues, not about tearing each other down.

What goes to the state doesn't seem to make any difference in Louisville....I'm still waiting for those bridges. :lol: I hate to disillusion you but Yarmuth has been tepid at best in his support for the bridges. He lives in Harrods Creek amd as far as I'm concerned he's in the pocket of River Fields.
