DeMatteo has a concussion but will be ok concern was with his neck but thankfully no problem there

Pike could possibly be ready to play this weekend but doubt he will due to the game against Boone County does not mean a thing. On the other hand DeMatteo is out for the season.

Why risk further injury to your star player in a game that means absolutely nothing?

 

The playoffs are the following week. Rest him this week.

None of us know the extent of Pike's injury nor the risk in hurting himself further by playing Friday. I heard Pike wanted to go back in the game last week but the coaches would not let him. If that is true, then maybe the injury isn't that significant.
