We are a simple people, it doesn't take a whole lot to amuse us. This thread being a prime example.

I just heard some news that could affect the game this week. In violation of the Open burning ban, the Open team held a bonfire near their fieldhouse and the entire building was destroyed along with all of their equipment. I'm not sure if they will have time to outfit their team and may have have to forfeit to the Rams. So, those of you doubters in the poll who voted for Open, you may want to think again. I'm sure that oldrambler will update us with any news or maybe Open a new thread.

So, were the fire trucks deployed? Or were the Open facilities destroyed in part due to the nefarious inactivity of the R-W fire district?

Burchett should be ready to go. Litteral starts rehab and is being fitted for a brace tomorrow morning. I'm not sure if he will be able to do it but he is going to try.

I heard that Opens sister school in Huntington was sending extra equipment to help them out. We'd better watch out. They may sneak in a couple of extra players also.

Possibly. But I heard they may paint it a different color. Being from Huntingtton, they would want something more recognizable in our area.

This makes things simple, look for Red and Black shirts,jackets,caps and jeseys that DO NOT HAVE Bulldogs,Dawgs,Lawrence County on them. That should narrow it down quite a bit.

One huge drawback we've run into when playing OPEN is that despite their depth of defensive talent, they bring a HORRIBLE gate. We make almost nothing at the gate or on concessions when they come to our place. Further, they refuse to display any team spirit. They don't bring cheerleaders or a band. It's a shame that such a quality program does not have better support or more class.

We certainly can't take that kind of a hit (low gate) any other time of the season but at least for this one game...........More Sausage dogs, Ram Burgers & Orange Crush for us!!
