Not sure why this is a such a suprise?

Fairview was undefeated, dismantled Raceland and the perception (real or not) is that LCA is down from their standards this year.

What a scene that must have been.

I agree! But, you gotta do what you can to get your team pumped. I dont have a problem with this.

My problem with it is that they do it every time they play us at our home. We always show them its our house but they keep at it.

LCA dominated the game from a physical standpoint. Lots of hard hits and getting off blocks. I don't think Fairview has seen a rush defense quite like that of LCA. Fairview players kept getting up slower and slower as game went on. It also seemed that there was lots of jawing and finger pointing by the Fairview team when LCA took control. I was there about 30 mins before kickoff and Fairview wore their home uniforms and chanted all the way from LCA's gym to the field. A coach would yell "Whose House?" and the whole team would respond "Our house!!!!" I guess when it was all said and done it was LCA's house and again LCA's district.

I hope #2 is okay. He was hit on a clean, but hard peel back block on a Scout McCamey scramble.

Now thats funny stuff!!:lol: Any team that comes in and trys to disrespect a home team like that deserves what they get. I bet that really got LCA fired up!!:irked: Some smart coaching before the game started by the red and black eagles!!! :thumb:

I feel it really backfired on them. Fake swagger and enthusiam can blow up in your face when the other team isn't phased by the antics and hits you hard and often. The wind can leave the sails quickly. I think it just made LCA angry and it showed on the field.

exactly! not hard rooting against this........they mouth the entire game and they play dirty football. Hope they got their last score on LCA's freshmen. LCA has beaten Raceland 4/5 times we played, but we play with class as do they, either way

I take it back then. I just assumed that this was the first time they had done this in an attempt to get fired up...they do that year after year? Obviously hasnt worked out to well for them.

This is bringing up an older argument, but I think the difference in schedule strength is shown between Raceland and Fairview. We played Fairview tonight and when the goin' got tough, Fairview started fighting amongst their own team. When we played Raceland and the goin' got tough, they came together and smacked us in the mouth. Raceland knew what it was like to play in tough, physical games.

They did it last time they played us at our home, not too sure about 4 years ago.

Congrats to LCA on the district championship.

#2 is okay - he did come back from the hospital to return to the sidelines during the end of the game.

by the way, #73 was a pretty tough lineman for them - a little overzealous at times - but very aggressive and assertive.

It wasn't that you beat them! It was the amount that you beat them that surprised me. I thought you could win but it would be very close. I was also hoping you would win!! Mainly for alot of the reasons posters have stated above. I think you have to go to that school to like them!! They do the same things when we play them also. Not a reflection of the players! But the coaches!!!

Also I thought Fairview could win this game. In years past they had no chance at all. They have the talent this year!! Must come down to something else!!:idunno:

Congratulations to LCA, I'm sure you played hard, disciplined, and well. Hope to see you all again in three or four weeks. Until then, good luck.

That's what I was thinking, LCA was at home and had the "been there, done that" factor working for them as well.

Thank you for the compliment E5, you are another example of LCA being a class act. We feel the same about LCA. Good, clean hard hitting football. Our way of playing is like yours....."fear no one, respect all"
