We'll see stuff that CovCath has been hiding all year. When CovCath is on O, I expect to see gimmick plays plus lots of screens and draws to slow down Highlands rush. When CovCath is on D, I expect to see lots and lots of blitzing. CovCath has had trouble stopping the run this year against strong running teams. I expect 8 in the box and a lot of them coming at the snap. I expect lots of loop stunts to try and mess up the man blocking assignments. Highlands O line has to really quick on the first two steps this week. I think CovCath will heavily focus on stopping the run and let what happens happen with the pass and hope that by blitzing to stop the run, they can get through and put pressure on Towles when he passes. If I'm right about the latter and the Birds O line can give Towles some time, should be a big night for Highlands passing game.

Completely agree with LN. If Towles has time to throw, it should be a big night for the Birds on offense. Then again, if he is forced to scramble, he has shown the ability to make big plays with his feet.

Something that hasn't been discussed is what this game means to the CCH seniors. The last time CCH beat HHS was in 2006, when both teams' current seniors were in middle school. If HHS beats CCH Friday night (and let's say that CCH and HHS don't end up facing each other in the playoffs this year, just like they didn't for the last two years) then this year's CCH senior class will have gone their entire high school careers without seeing CCH defeat HHS at the varsity level. Does anyone know if either HHS or CCH have ever gone four consecutive years without beating the other in varsity football? I can't imagine it's happened much, if at all.
