I doesn't matter where you put Highlands, 3-4-5-6A, they would be a favorite if not a co-favorite. The program is just that consistant and good. Most of those young men are taught the Highlands way from the time they can put on a helmet.

 

Nobody is disagreeing with that. We just aren't ready to hand them every trophy until the next realignment like others are. They'll have to earn it like everyone else and in this new 4A class will provide(read.......should provide) them their stiffest competition since we went to 6 classes.

New 4A is much better than current 5A (with or without Highlands). Take Highlands out of 5A and that class hasn't been very tough since realignment.

 

Boyle will be in the discussion every year, but Highlands will be the prohibitive favorite every year.

Whatever. I'd have loved to have seen last year's versions of Boyle County and Highlands play along with this year's.

 

Better yet, Boyle County is planning on having a bowl game in the near future. We hear Trinity and St. X are interested in coming. I believe that Highlands was asked to come as well. Does anyone know what their answer was when extended an invitation to come down to TitleTown, Ky?:sssh:

District 1- Owensboro and Lone Oak will have some very interesting matchups.

 

They'll have to make it happen pretty quick because Lone Oak should be closing down in a year or two to open the new McCracken County High School, which will likely be 6A.

If you're trying to imply that Highlands may be somehow "ducking" the mighty Boyle County, you're really going down the wrong path. Believe me, if Dale declined the offer it either didn't fit into already existing scheduled games, or there is a better opportunity elsewhere. Having schedule the likes of Elder, Moeller, St. X (Ohio), Colerain, et al in the past, I truly don't think the "Birds would be looking to avoid Boyle County. All of us would like to see this game on the schedule, but there is much more to the scheduling thing than just calling up and saying "hey let's play."
