rfcinky and Ryan Parker are 2 great individuals. I have met and know both of these men and respect them a lot. They are welcome in my home anytime. Mrs. Sidelinedoc has known Ryan longer than I and she thinks a lot of him, too. Great posts and insight as to what he is thinking and so much substance to back up his thoughts.

 

I have not personally met either one, a least I don't think so bc I do not know who they are. I can pretty much tell by their post that they are very knowledgeable and they certainly post with class and respect.

As soon as you show someone a Fairview schedule in Westwood they skim their finger straight down and circle Raceland. If you think anything other than that you are crazy! This rivalry has been a little more dormant the past couple years. But I can tell you one thing it was nasty back in the early 2000's. This game is like the Alabama/Auburn, Michigan/Ohio State, Texas/Oklahoma games of the college world. Anyone who has been a part of Raceland football the past 10 years or so knows that. Try to downplay it all you want. But we know better. And this rivalry will only get more bitter now with the new alignment.

A former classmate and long time friend. I have some very solid alibi's for my absense . Anyway, I do have to comment on one thing that you said about the Raceland/Fairview rivalry. Everything that you have said is true and you mentioned the erly 2000's. That is certainly true and like I have said this rivalry has been strong as far back as 70'-72' or whatever the year was that Fairview started football. Maybe it is two small schools but this game is as heated as a Ashland/Boyd, GC/Russell, Russell/Ashland, Raceland vs. GC or Russell. One gets the idea and as you said anyone that thinks any different is crazy. Another couple of possibility's are that maybe they have been trapped in a cave for the last 40 years, not been alive for very long or maybe some just don't want it to be (:idunno::sssh:).

 

Anyway, glad to see you back and hopefully this game thread will bring a few more Ram/bgp members back to posting. Games like Fairview and Russell tend to do that,:lol:

RAMS it looks like you are really the underdog this week. Every poll but one I can find has you ranked way below Fairview. Guess you got some proving to do. Cantrell, LH, AP, ect.
