Is Lone Oak down from last year or did Green County "shoplift" a win?

Lone Oak has no business losing to Green County or being in a position to lose to Green.

Is Lone Oak down from last year or did Green County "shoplift" a win?

I agree! No way should Green have had even a chance to win this one in the last seconds, bad clock or not it is still a great victory for the Dragons!!!

Plain and simple...sour grapes or not...Lone Oak was held scoreless in the second half and the kids from Green County came together and outplayed the guys from Lone Oak. This team is coming together at the right time so don't sell them out...I would not want to play the Dragons right now.

That is exactly what I was telling the kids at the house just now!!!! Green is getting better each and every week. Way to represent the district Green, I guess Monroe is the only on that dropped the ball tonight!

Green has a good coach and he will have them ready when the playoffs come. Just shocked byt LO not scoring in the second half what did Green do to prevent this?

Both, Green should not have had the chance to score the last td and LO mistakes or great plays by Green ended a couple of other scoring chances. LO is young at every spot and they have a frosh qb so they are gonna be inconsistent and they are not anything like last year and will not likely be this year. Look at their schedule results. One week they hammer a little above average Caldwell Co the next they struggle against Graves Co (Who Mayfield and Tilghman both destroyed). Young, learning and INCONSISTENT espically on offense sums up Lone Oak right now. But man oh man they will be tough in the future and should keep improving this season but they are not on the level of the LO of recent pasts

Lone Oak this year is not the same caliber team as last years squad. Lone Oak has talent on both side of the ball but has struggle at times to find a rhythm. Offensively, they dont utilize the run & try to throw way to many deep balls & screen passes in the middle of the field. Defensively, strong upfront against the run but will struggle against a good passing team and give up to many big plays. Its unlikely the Flash will make it to Bowling Green this year but you never know.

:madman:Like I said last week something has to change and fast or things will not get better! First of all, Flash has a big issue with the QB! Yes he is just a freshman but when he doesn't get rid of the ball and gets hammered several times and when he throws the ball it always goes to the same reciever, EVERYTIME! With that said if we all know who he is going to throw it to don't ya think the other team does too? Come on Offensive Coach, wake up! While I'm on the subject of Off Coaching, our Offense has talent in every position, not saying the QB isn't talented but he is young and needs at least another year under his belt to perform well but while we watch these games slip away you have talent on the sideline that you DO NOT UTILIZE! You take a QB (or QB's) out for being inconsistent but leave one in all season that has not improved. In my opinion and it doesn't mean much, you have kids on the team PLAYING OUT OF POSITION!!!!!!! If you look back at last year's film and see the receiver's that stood out then, the one's getting the ball and the ones getting the td's and when some of those kids are now not running the ball but blocking, what the heck is going on? All it's doing is destroying the confidence in the kids and I have seen it first hand!

Lone Oak isn't quite the team they were last year, and that has been evident for some time, probably due as much as anything to the team's youth. One of this team's strengths is the defensive line, but one starter has a torn ACL and might be done for the year and another one was considered iffy because of a bad ankle. I don't know how much he played at Green County.

All this doesn't mean that Lone Oak isn't a contender, but they will have to win a tough playoff game or two on the road to advance far into the postseason.

As for the Green County game ... I haven't seen the tape. I've only heard a description of what happened. I agree that Lone Oak should never have been in that position.

Virtually the same team as last year but the difference is chemistry i think.

Not true ... this year's team is clearly not as talented as last year's bunch.

Isn't this the first loss for Lone Oak this season?

Defense is better tthan last year i think...Offense is struggling and i have already adressed this problem in other posts....virtually the same receiving core....bigger o line......RB is young but very good...That just leaves one position that is not clicking with the rest...And yes the Flash are 6-1 but have played terrible comp this year. green County was the best team we have played and they are not really very good. Let them hang around too long and give them life...Green fought hard but in no way should they have been close..Watch the film on ihigh..Wide open receivers all night long..Not getting the crispness out of the offense that the flash are used too and sustaining drives that keep your defense fresh and the other teams offense off the field is probably the single biggest problam right now.

Westider, yes they are just as talented, in fact, some of the same talented players of last year! They just aren't being utilized in the positions. Some of the players have been changed around into different positions which is obviously isn't working well. It's not that there isn't enough talent, that's for sure!

Not true ... this year's team is clearly not as talented as last year's bunch.
