I think Dixie and Highlands will continue to play. But if it were up to me I would scratch Highlands from the schedule and replace them with one of the better Louisville schools for something new.

The Dixie/Highlands match up has lost it's luster IMO. Dixie's not challenging enough for Highlands and they (Highlands) would be better served penciling in 3 or 4 teams across the river that will actually challenge them instead of scheduling the usual 6-7 td W's.

The teams across the river should give them a better indication of where things stand year in and year out. It's a different brand of football over there as the Bluebirds have already experienced against a (1-4) Withrow team.

 

Any local team vs. Highlands has lost its luster. All we are predicting is how many touchdowns Highlands will win by.

Pike, Leonard, Cohorn, and Bruns (I believe) all go both ways. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Really not bad if you know where to park....and if you're nice they let you in for $5.

 

I know my walks through Ft Thomas are much longer, but then again I don't know the area that well.

Dixie has a great facility. Although I hope they don't mind, but I may sit on the Dixie home side only because I can't stand to sit at field level.

 

If you get there early enough parking is not bad. Dixie's concessions are awesome. So you can pick up a to go meal from one of the outstanding diners at the Crestview mall or the concession stand will have to hold you til Dixie (as in Newport after the game).

There were space limitations on the visitors side when constructed with the new softball field and gymnasium parking butting up to the field.

Well I'm sure they could've squeezed in a few more. I know players can obstruct views down low....maybe they should've eliminated the visitor's restroom and concession stand over there...dunno.

I'm sure they had good reasons for building the visitors stands the way they did. But what rankles me is the couple of times I've decided to sit on the home side, I caught some legit grief by Dixie fans for not sitting on the visitors side. I thought to myself: come on. Either build visitor bleachers where the fans can actually watch the game or don't complain when the visitor's fans sit on the home side.

When we were there two years ago the Highlands fans outnumbered the Dixie fans by a considerable margin. We sat on the Dixie side and no one said anything. Can't say I'd be tempted to head over to the opposite side under any circumstances.
