Very tough for a one-dimensional passing team to win the state title, see 4A '07 game.

A one-dimensional offense will not win a 5A title in 2010.

Colerain did it in Ohio divison I which is arguably the best football in the country some years. That group was men among boys though.

If we are talking about Ryle I say no!

A team running a one-dimenstional offense can (and has) won a state championship. A program a running multi-dimensional offense will win more state championships.

It's not very likely though. Without some threat of the other style of ball, it's too easy for great defenses, players and coaches to shut down a one dimensional attack. :thumb:

I think some are missing a factor - Defense. Sure a one dimensional team can win a State Championship, but not without a great defense. You don't normally see a "Run Only" team winning a lot without a great defense. Of course the same can be said for a balanced offense, but I think the defense can bend a little more because they have more of the "Quick strike capability". I would say that most of the 90/10 teams have a very good defense when they win a State Championship.
