I have seen quite a few teams this year in Northern Kentucky-not all, but yes I would say he is above the rest. Makes great athletic plays and has great speed while the ball is in the air to get away from the defender. I also would say the two quartercks in the game last night have some nice potential.

 

What really caught my eye about Peterson was in the game against Dixie last year how physically stronger he was than the DB's as well. He has great hands and doesn't let any DB's break up any of his catches. If it's in his hands, it's not going anywhere.

 

Should be fun to watch this kid progress over the next 2 1/2 years.

What happened to Bradley in this game? I wasn't there but if he played he apparently didn't do much. It sounds like Holmes contained him pretty well. Too much defensive speed for Holmes? Bradley seems to always get his yards so I am curious about what happened in this game.

Bradley finished with 78 yards on 24 carries.

 

Holmes held him in check last year as well. I believe he maybe had a little over 100 yards when he was averaging around 180 ypg.

 

Holmes team speed on defense has really frustrated Bradley the past two seasons.

Looks like to me Cooper needs to do something different on D.. Maybe a blitz now and then!! Looks like they just sit back and wait for the ball to come to them.

It seemed like they played pretty good D sense Holmes has scored over 40 pts a game. They had a good strategy they also tackled fairly good up until the fourth quater. You could see that Holmes was in better shape. I didnt understand why Cooper tried to up the tempo in the first quater they were going to run out of gas early until they slowed the pace. The one thing I would say about Coopers defensive strategy is why would you man up the best reciever in NKY and the db was 5'8 with short arms and the reciever is 6'3 with long arms and they had no saftey help the whole game!

Losing two starting offensive linemen sure didn't help either...

This was the first time that Holmes had been challenged and it took them a while to adjust to getting hit back! #75 for Cooper is a tough player. If Holmes executes on a couple of key plays the game is out of hand. Cooper is a good football team though. They will shock some people this year. We'll see how good Holmes is when they play Dixie in 4 weeks. Should be a dogfight!
