I think it's certainly strange, but I can't imagine how hard it is getting to manage this roster with so many guys fighting for the 25 available spots. I think they also have to bounce someone off the 40 man roster because Dickerson did not take up a spot due to the 60 day DL stint...

Or, he at least is not needed for four more days, which gives them time to evaluate the roster some more(if they do not go with a four man). Who knows, Maybe Walt is working on another deal! (Better not be Wood though we lose if so)
August 9, 201016 yr Author Here is my thoughts on what might happen. I still think Francisco gets sent down either today or tomorrow, and we'll see Chapman called up. I think Leake will be DL'd sometime after tonight's game with some ailment so the Reds can limit his innings, and then the Reds can recall Wood before 10 days due to an injury. I also think we'll see Bailey recalled, and Fisher sent back down.

August 9, 201016 yr Author Here is another interesting stat to throw at you. Chris Carpenter has faced the Brewers twice this year. He was hit hard in both starts. In 2 starts he pitched 8 total innings, giving up 16 hits, and 12 ER. Maybe ole Jim Edmonds and the Brewers see something in Carpenter's delivery that the rest of the league hasn't picked up, and Edmonds can share it with his new teammates tonight. :sssh::D

August 9, 201016 yr Author I'm not sure how many times he faced Carpenter, but Edmonds went 4-6 with 3 RBI in the 2nd game Carpenter pitched.
