What position?

Walt needs to call up the Royals and get Scott Podsednik. Plug him into CF and that takes care of the leadoff problem.

Not sure what I'd do about adding a big bat to the middle of the order. It would have to be in another OF spot or SS.

I think Stubbs has a real negative effect on this offense right now, maybe Dickerson needs to be brought up and inserted into the leadoff spot and the order redone a little.

I like that idea, do you think he is available? He only makes $1,650,000 this year. His stats are pretty good right now.

I'm sure the Royals would let him go for the right price. Especially with the Reds collection of young players.

If the Phillies are shopping Werth I think he's a guy Cincy should look at as well.

He is 34 but doesn't seem to be slowing down any with 29 SBs.

I wouldn't expect it to be more than a 2 month thing with him, with the slight possibility of next season. If the trade was made that is.

The Royals do have a club option on his contract for 2011.

Posednik is fragile. Can he make it a full season?

Podsednik can void it with 525 PA's, which he's only 104 shy of.

He played 132 last year and all but 6 games so far this year.

In 2007, he missed a lot of games due to injury.

Since then he hasn't had injury troubles at all.

As hot as he's been I'd worry about that over the offseason. This team could really use his .352 obp leading off. He's hit .377 in July.
