I remember this game. HHS/CCH. I can't remember watching a better football game. At an level.

 

That was an great game even though the birds lost... nothing beats Brohm vs. Bush though.

Tri State Internet Sports Radio will be doing a full schedule of games as well this year. This will be our third year of coverage in Northern and North Central Games. In reading through the thread, it looks like there is no shortage of coverage throughout the area. Last year, we started into the video arena as well and will be expanding this into a video preview project we are currently working on. We will have a video preview of all 27 teams that we cover for football this year. Just go to our football page. Although we don't have the bandwidth to video stream the games live, we shoot it with our audio to make a complete game available online in the next day.

 

We will post our game schedule on the Broadcast thread, but a few highlights include both games on 8/20 at the Crosstown showdown. The final 2 games of the Grant County Bowl. Walton-Verona's first game under their new lights against Carroll County and then the post-season as well.

 

I think we do a pretty good job in our coverage, going to other areas that others don't.

Highlands doesn't let any outside parties broadcast their home games live...period. (CBS Sports vs St. X is obviously much different)

 

We (nkysports.com) tried to do a few Highlands games last year but Dale wouldn't approve us for any of the home games. Something to do with their broadcast class possibly doing some of the games. (Which never happened, as far as I know)

 

We covered them against Beechwood, but that was it.

 

Nkysports.com will also be doing a live game of the week this year. I haven't received the schedule yet but when I do, I'll post. We'll be using the Ihigh.com server this year so the quality of the broadcast should be significantly better.

 

I agree with Walter. We did the Highlands/Boone County game last year and then when it came to the final week of the playoffs, we were shut out too. I can't even get their AD/Football Coach to respond to an e-mail regarding this. If they want to do their own, that's fine, but having other folks come in gives you a different prespective than a home-cooked broadcast.

So, I have a question: I see where the second Highlands-Ryle game is scheduled for a Thursday, which I think indicates it will be carried on Fox Sports Ohio. Is this correct, and does anyone know if Fox Sports Ohio is carried live on the internet?

 

My other question is: what Highlands game(s) will be video-broadcasted live over the internet this year? I remember the Highlands-Beechwood game being carried live (video) on the internet last season.

The 2006 HHS/CCH regular season game at Highlands was carried by Insight. A classic.

 

Another Insight classic was the Beechwood at Cov. Cath '07 game under the (portable) lights. The portable light stansions were not nearly as high as most of the punts which passed into complete darkness until they fell under about 15 feet or so.

Have to agree with this. A lot of people thought it was a neat idea and a fun game, but the lighting was below varsity football standards, and fumes from the engines running the lights were awful.
