July 9, 201016 yr So in light of this "super-team" as it's being called I figured we've probably not seen a team roster situation in a way that the Heat is going through now. They basically have little to no money to spend to get guys outside of using the mid-level and minimum exception. Here is the current roster: Dwayne Wade Lebron James Chrish Bosh Mario Chalmers De'sean Butler ®- pending Jarvis Varnardo ®- pending Dexter Pittman ®- pending So here are some updates as to who they are looking at to fill out the roster. John Schyer ® Mike Miller Big Z Raja Bell Brad Miller Who are some other veteran players that could possibly take less to play with this team and compete for a championship?
July 9, 201016 yr Author Iverson off the bench? I'm sure he'd pay lots to be on this team. Someone had mentioned Iverson earlier. I'm sure he'd like to be on that team but I don't know if the Heat would want him now, especially given all the drama that surrounds him. Maybe bring back Shaq? The Heat need a C.
July 9, 201016 yr Shaq could do well on that roster. Iverson would not be a good idea. He has lost a step (or two) and demands the ball too much. Jon Scheyer would be a brilliant addition.

I agree with all. Scheyer is actually on their summer league roster so they could sign him easily if he performs well.
July 9, 201016 yr They need SG depth, plain and simple. They also need another PG (in which case, I guess Scheyer could make do but I would prefer him at SG). In terms of the front court, they could make do with what they have but if they really want more depth they could go out and sign 1 more guy at the minimum contract. They have some options so I'm sure they will figure it out.
July 9, 201016 yr I'm not sure that they need another PG. Chalmers can run the show, and both LBJ & D-Wade are capable of handling the rock when Chalmers is out. They need someone who is willing to rebound and someone who can shoot. Both Brad Miller & Jon Scheyer would be great additions. I also like what they did in the draft...

July 9, 201016 yr Anyone see LeBron running the point on this team? Yes. To me he has always been a PG. Point Forward.
July 9, 201016 yr Anyone see LeBron running the point on this team? Well LeBron is more of a Point Foward than SF or PG so he will be handling point as a foward from time to time. However, because he is on a team with D-Wade, he won't have to run the point while he is in the game.
July 9, 201016 yr Mike Miller would be a great addition. Mike Miller is a great addition to any team as long as he's not asked to be any better than the 3rd best guy.

I think Brad Miller would be big for them and finish out with Raja Bell and either Mike Miller or Scheyer then they may be ready to roll.

I think the offense will run through DWade, and the easiest way to sell LeBron IMO would have been that he could average a triple double as a PG. JMO, I guess we'll have to wait and see.
