I was there Sunday and this topic was brought up and people there said many of things we have in this thread, as to how not to let this happen.

One of the people robbed played a lot with the guys I was playing poker with and they said he took about $50,000 in cash and stayed and drank a lot and then drove home.

Yeah heard that guy won the bad beat and was pretty wasted when he got robbed. Sounds like he was almost begging to get robbed.

Now c'mon let's not be too hasty, sure it wasn't a bright move on his part, but if this were an attractive drunk girl, dressed provocatively would we be a little more sympathetic?

I do feel sorry for the guy, but he could have stayed at the hotel until he sobered up. I was also told they offered him security to his vehicle. Why take all in cash, you can take any part in cash and rest in check, so he could have taken a couple of grand in cash to blow, etc. and the rest in check.

Wednesday night, a police officer dressed in plain clothes went to Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg and flashed a lot of cash while also using a walker and acting “vulnerable.” He was the perfect target and the accused robbers robbed him and were arrested, Deters said.

 

Deters said he held today’s press conference about the indictment in hopes of having other victims who were too afraid or embarrassed about being robbed also to come forward.

I'm not gonna lie, like GURU stated these people were pressing their luck a little bit more each time they did this. Eventually their luck ran out however they are lucky that this isn't about 60 or 70 years ago and/or that they're not out in Vegas trying to pull this crap other wise they probably would've just wound up "missing" and the robberies would have suddenly stopped......
