North Myrtle beach

Just got back from South Myrtle Beach. We had a blast. We actually liked eating at T-Bonz and Hard Rock Cafe. Good times.

Eat at Dick's Last Resort.

Did not want to go there as we did this once before when the kids were younger. However we happened to end up there and had the greatest time! Laughed ourselves silly!

Drunken Jacks is probably my favorite restaurant in Myrtle Beach.

We were at Myrtle Beach last week. Best meal I had there was at a place I think called Wild Wings at Barefoot Landing. I got a half chicken (baked) with roasted corn and peppers and broccoli. They have so many sauces to choose from, I can't remember which one I chose but it was some of the best chicken I ever ate in my life and I eat chicken atleast 3 times a week.

Over the course of my 5 days there, I ate at Oscar's, Crabby Mike's, Johnny Rocket's... And then some of the old chain favorites such as Papa Johns and IHOP. We did a lot of eating in, it's expensive to eat out!

Seafare - seafood and prime rib buffet... who doesn't like mermaids!

Eat at Dick's Last Resort.

We just got back from N Myrtle Beach about an hour ago. I've been to Dick's Last Resort in San Antonio and Boston so OF COURSE we had to go to Dick's in MB. It was the first time I've taken the kids to one and they loved it. They talked about the experience there more than anything else on vacation. We had to re-route our vacation from the gulf at the last minute, so Myrtle Beach was our choice. I'm not a huge fan of the area, but we did have a great time.

The Pups are heading down this evening for the kids (5 & 1) first trip to the beach & our first Myrtle Trip. Thanks for the suggestions! I'm definitely up for some mermaids!

Lol, we too ended up in N Myrtle Beach because our Gulf vacation was canceled. I also am not a huge fan of the area and we too had a great time. Dicks LR was the highlight of our nights out. We went with 5 teens/young adults and so they could get a little more "free" with the quotes on the hats. Very funny! The food was just ok, but the entertainment value was huge.

Only problem I have with Myrtle Beach is that the beaches are very crowded. Most people are pretty respectful, but there were some areas that I noticed when walking on the beach, full of cigarette butts. That has to be my number one pet peeve when on the beach! Beautiful beaches that some people use as their personal ash tray.:madman:

Wow. South Myrtle Beach was great. Not that crowded, clean. I don't remember seeing anybody smoking on the Beach. I hate that too Beechwoodfan.

Any suggestions on where to stay in NMB? We are also re-routing our trip to the gulf last minute. Would like a nice pool area directly on the beach.

We stayed at Wyndham Tower Grove. Beachfront Condos. Condo was great. Pool is just ok. It is geared for smaller kids with a slide and lazy river. However, we brought a cooler with us and the little ones didnt bother me so much! Wyndham owns several places right on the beach in NMB. Check out their web site. Good luck! I think MB is full of people who were going to stay on the Gulf.

Staying in Garden City just south of Myrtle Beach. Any insight on restraunts or entertainment?

Haven't been there in years, but Drunken Jacks was always a favorite in Murrell's inlet.

Any of the restaurants in Murrell's Inlet are good. I like Creek Ratz. Laid back eat out on the patio looking at the water. If you're looking for buffet. The best is on restaurant row named Benjamins.
