June 15, 201016 yr One day many of those in the Big 12 will get tired of Texas, as Nebraska did. Agreed. The problem with schools like Oklahoma, A&M, Tech, etc. is that they rely so much on Texas for much of their revenue (read: they don't want to lose them from their schedule). Nebraska didn't need Texas. The Huskers survived for 100 years in the Big 8 and then were sort of shoved together with Texas and told to be friends. Nebraska didn't like it, realized there was more money to be made in a more appealing situation, and left.
June 15, 201016 yr This is nothing more than a Band-Aid for the Big 12 and this arrangement does nothing but favor Texas particular with the TV deal. One day many of those in the Big 12 will get tired of Texas, as Nebraska did. :thumb:
