I dont see the program stuggling. Can we expect them to lose more games then last past couple years? Sure depending on the scheduele. I'm sure the kids still have the bitter taste of defeat and will work hard during the summer and come together as a TEAM and not rely on one or two players to win the game. IMO they are still one of the top teams in the ninth region.

I said "most", not "nobody" would be able to handle the Holmes press. There are many teams I've watched over the years who are winning or close going to the last 5-6 minutes of the game when a team with a lot of quick kids start pressing and turnovers are the norm and not the exception. So, IMO, MOST teams won't handle a full game of pressing. If you don't agree, that's fine, no hard feelings.:thumb:

 

Getting some quick baskets and pressing an entire game are two different things. Im saying teams are coached to beat a press and get easy baskets just as the Dogs will be coached to press and force turnovers. May the best team win.

It had nothing to do with the pace of the game but everything to do with playing hard nosed man to man defense. Until coach Henley got there they usually didn't play any defense.

Perhaps, but where he's coaching now looks a lot more like where he grew up than the Virgie-Dorton-Robinson Creek area does.
