Guilty pleasure: Movie

Featured Replies

We all have them. A guilty pleasure that we turn on and watch and pray no one walks in and asks what the heck we are watching

What is your guilty pleasure for movies?

I have two.

I was flipping through recently and came across the movie "Airborne". It's a movie about rollerblading and bad jokes, most of which was filmed in Cincinnati and northern Kentucky. Early roles for Jack Black and Seth Green. I like the movie.

Also, I like the Postman with Kevin Costner and usually find myself watching it when it comes on.

Walking Tall (2004)

Yes, I know the original was better and the remake isn't very good at all. But for some reason I can't turn it off whenever it comes on the TV.

The Porky's trilogy.

"Why do they call you Meat?"

"Why do they call you Blossom?"

I haven't seen that movie in forever. I knew it was suppose to be set in Cincinnati but never knew if it was actually filmed there. I have probably seen it 10 times but until reading this I never knew the name it.

I remember Airborne, but haven't watched it in 10 or more years... I think it used to come on the Disney Channel pretty often, but I might be making that up.

I definitely agree that I liked this movie growing up lol.

My two guilty pleasure movies would be...

Sweet Home Alabama

Pete's Dragon

Speaking of Disney, some of the "Made for TV" movies... I'll admit to enjoying them into my adult life.

Specifically "Johnny Tsunami" and "Brink".

Strange Brew, the Adventures of Bob and Doug McKenzie. I know it is lame and corny, but I cannot resist it. Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas crack me up. I used to watch it all the time on VHS but that tape tore up years ago. I need to find a DVD copy.

Also "RV". My kids groan if they even see it on the menu anymore. I can't skip it.

"Twister" is also on this list for me... I feel like it's the cheesiest movie ever as I'm watching it, but I can't ever seem to turn it off.

I also just like seeing if I can catch the hundreds of bloopers in it.

Smokey and the Bandit.

My buddies and I would recite lines over and over.

Classic!

In all the flying muck and mud, Helen Hunt sports the cleanest wife-beater in the history of the universe.

Fried Green Tomatoes and I can't figure out for the life of me why. I bet I've seen this a million times, and quite frankly, I would never admit that to anyone who knew me.

Please leave your man card with the receptionist on your way out.
