According the the breakdown in post #15 it looks like they have kids from 10 different schools. 3 of the them, now 4 of them to Ohio schools. Glad they all are not going to the same high school. They would be tough to beat.
May 13, 201016 yr Wondering why this thread got moved to GD? This team is playing against HS sophmores to be in virtually all of their tournaments, and they are all going to be in HS in the fall. Some of their players already start/play on their HS teams. Why can't they be in the boys bb thread? Because they are not in high school. All 14U talk will be here. Next year, won't be an issue.
June 7, 201016 yr I just heard today that the Tar Heels played in a tournament this past weekend in Merrilville IN just outside of Chicago, IL. Word is they beat the #1 ranked 14U AAU team and then lost to the #4 ranked team. If anyone can confirm and maybe provide deatils that would be great. Also congrats to Brandon Hatton of the Tar Heels Select for being selected to the FAB FROSH ALL AMERICAN CAMP to take place July 1nd-4th in Chicago, IL at the Bulls Training facility. This is a huge honor and there are some other KY players selected. Wins Coach T Mustangs Wisconsin Storm Indiana Elite One Losses Ray Allen Select Meanstreets Ray Allen and Meanstreets played for the championship and the game was forfeited with about 5 minutes to play due to a huge fight that broke out. The Meanstreet fans/parents were very unruly and out of control. Ray Allen was awarded the championship because they were leading at the time of the incident. Sad situation indeed. Ray Allen finished 3rd at last year's nationals in Memphis. They were the highest ranked team in this tournament. This was not an AAU sanctioned tournament, so many teams were exceeding the 3 player grade exception limit that will be enforced in Orlando (National Tournament) next month.
July 14, 201016 yr NKY Tarheels/KY Select get it cranked up tomorrow evening at 8:00 pm in their opening game in Orlando, FL at the AAU U14 National Tournament. I expect this team to make a great showing similar to what they did last year in Memphis finishing 8th. Good Luck to these young men, and represent the Bluegrass State well boys. July 14, 201016 yr How old is Hatton? I watched him play senior division football 4 years ago. Seems to be lots of misinformation regarding Brandon's age. He is 15 years, born in 1995. I think he seems older to people because he has played up for all of his youth career, and he can play with older kids easily. The U14 division allows (3) exemption players, and he is one of three on the Tarheels. Beginning next year, there will be no limit on exemptions for this team. I have heard his aged discussed, and it ranges from 15-19. Very funny.
July 14, 201016 yr You could be thinking about a game with Scott High School. I think the kid got knocked silly on a reportedly legal screen and the kid's dad went out onto the floor. Just now saw this, but I think it was Hester from Simon Kenton who got knocked down by the screen.

July 15, 201016 yr I think since it looks like he matured a little sooner than others in his grade he seemed older. He can flat out play and can get up for his height.
July 16, 201016 yr The boys won their first game tonight in pool play against the VA Hokies. Next game tomorrow @ 4 pm. Go Heels!
July 17, 201016 yr The KY Select won today against the CBC (Connecticut BB Club). They are now 2-0 in their pool. Last pool game is tomorrow at 11:00 am. Bracket play begins on Sunday. Looks like they will win their pool and gain a number one seed in the Championship Bracket.
