I'm guessing they whistled some Technicals? Techs were issued, and play continued. Emotions seem to run high with other teams that are playing the Tarheels. It's probably got something to do with their reputation as having a good team. Other teams are always trying to intimidate them, especially when they play up.

I'm sure all teams get fired up when they play the Tar heels and from what I've seen, the Tar Heels walk in with a bit of an attitude themselves. Recently I did see a Tar Heel get T'ed up very early in a game for saying something to the refs about a call that was made.
May 2, 201016 yr The NKY Tarheels (KY Select) have advanced to the Final Four of the Dayton Metro Tournament today. They are playing in the 9th grade division. Semis will be held at 4:35.
May 3, 201016 yr Tarheels won their semi final game in double OT against the Real Deal Athletic 9th grade team. The Real Deal team played tough and these guys are very solid with sophmores to be from Cooper and other NKY schools. Zach McNeil hit a runner with 2 seconds to play to seal it for the Tarheels. They were worn out in the final (4th game of the day), and lost to a good team team from Massillion, OH. Nice run for the 8th graders. Their next tournament will be the Adidas Classic in Bloomington, IN the weekend of 5/14.

May 4, 201016 yr Wondering why this thread got moved to GD? This team is playing against HS sophmores to be in virtually all of their tournaments, and they are all going to be in HS in the fall. Some of their players already start/play on their HS teams. Why can't they be in the boys bb thread?

May 11, 201016 yr Nope his dad lives in that district and he stays with him during the week. Good luck to the kid. Hopefully, he turns it around and gets some structure in his life.
