For as bad as they have been and as horrible as the pitching has been they are 3 1/2 games out of first place. It's a long season and I have to believe the pitching can get better. After May 15h we might be able to add a huge piece to the rotation and then around July when Edinson comes back that could be another boost. If they can hang around its possible they could make a late push. The Cards have to play down a little bit otherwise they will run away with it. As far as the hitting,:puke: , we knew it would be bad so I don't know why anyone is surprised. Stubbs won't be on this team much longer.

That is my thinking too. The Reds the last couple of years have started off pretty decent and stayed in contention, and then fell off. Hopefully it will be the opposite this year.

Oh yeah Stubbs 0-4 today. You gotta get him out of here or at least at the bottom of the order.

Not with the roster they have this season. They are 3 1/2 games out after 18 games. The Cardinals are on a 95 win pace, the Reds on a 63 win pace.

Come on Coco raining is coming down really hard. Need to get this one over with.

CoCo making it interesting again.

Reds avoid the sweep, off tomorrow and on to Houston.

Hopefully the Astros offense will be what the Reds pitchers need to get going.

^ Last 6 games they are at about 4 a game not counting today where they have 8 so far. They have won 6 of their last 7. :irked: About to be 7 of last 8.

Hey now, I was trying to be positive. The Reds drew 7 walks today and only struck out 3 times. Their offense looks a lot better when they get on base.

^ It would look a lot better if their lead off batter didn't go 0-4.
