I thought he was paying PT compliments Dixie. Why so defensive? Everyone knows who PT is after he stepped in for Will Bardo last season. Starting the year with his own team will be a little different than stepping into Will's team but he has the tools and leadership qualities to do very well.

I know they take ownership of the team but in some respect it has to be his team. Stepping in last year he was amazing. He did is job and they won State. This year more pressure will be on him I just hope he is ready which I'm sure coach and the guys will have him ready. As for McCoy I'm interested to see this kid close up I have heard so many good thing and I have heard he's an even better guy. Should make for an interesting year in Cake Town.

If you would ask Will, Pat or the others probably none would view it that way. All the Birds' players take "ownership" of the TEAM.

 

As a QB, Pat should be at the top from KY, not just NKY.

There is no I in team...I hope we don't over hype this young man so much that he feels he has to do too much instead of what is asked of him. Dale will control the game and the seniors will supply the leadership. Patrick will be the QB but let the kid enjoy his next two years without putting too much on his shoulders!!!

Towels is definitely 6'5 and around 220lbs, saw him the other day at basketball open gym. He said he has put on 30lbs in the past few months. His upper body has really gotten bigger.

This thread is nearing a month old and still no mention of one player who will surely be one of the top QB's in N. Ky. and perhaps the state this coming season.

I'm still on the Towles train. I saw him the other day and he is a beast. Every bit of 230 and 6'5". He's gonna be real good this year.

I am guessing that is who he is talking about.

I kept scrolling down the thread looking for Pike's name to be mentioned. Surprised it took so long for his name to be added to the conversation. Pike may be the best QB in the State as a Jr this coming season. He has a long list of "big time" D-1 schools already interested in him.

Hempel is the best IMO he seems to be a guy who just has that "it" factor i like the way he plays tough and smart.

I heard Pike just landed an SEC offer, so there must be more there than just a name. He will be more advanced/mature as Junior, because I think he is actually a 17 year old soph. Pike will surprise a lot of people this year if Dixie allows him to. IMO his athletic ability is similar to Towles, but I believe Pike is more physically built.
