April 7, 201016 yr I know that there are ALOT of earch quakes throughout the world each year, like thousands, but are there normally this many "strong earthquakes"? It seems like over the past few months, and especially over the past few years there have been several strong earthquakes, is this normal?
April 7, 201016 yr It seems like there have been a lot recently, but I doubt it's honestly anymore than usual. April 7, 201016 yr The atmosphere is warming to the point that the magma core is going to erupt, that is what is causing the tectonic plates to shift and the polar ice caps are melting causing a decrease in atmospheric pressure..........................Never mind, I can't talk this crap anymore.:puke:
April 7, 201016 yr Author I was way bored with the room mate tonight and looking, apparently from what I'd found from a few different sites, magnitude wise 4 of the 16 strongest earthquakes recorded back to the late 1500's have taken place within the past 6 years, and that's not including the Haiti earthquake which was only a 7.0. Of course it's hard to tell how accurate the reading were from a few centuries ago, but I feel that the ones as of this past decade are likely pretty accurate. Doesn't that seem kind of strange?

Yes, I think it is a little discomforting. I have no idea what is going on, but something is changing for sure...

Link to the information that you are looking at? Some things to consider: 1) Magnitude does not equate to deadliness of the earthquake. 2) Just as with many, many other things, technology has increased greatly in the past 100 years, so both the measurements and recordings are more numerous and more accurate. Seeing more measurements for years in past 40 years does NOT mean that there have been more earthquakes or more severe ones. It only means that more have been recorded. Bottom line...there is no earthquake apocalypse on the horizon.

Back when I was growing up, you heard about this stuff from 6:30 to 7:00 with the national news and that was IT!!! Not really mentioned at any other time of the day that I can recall. More national fundraisers as well as local fundraisers to help them out.
