Hood is not the ideal Cal recruit. Unless he can really develop a 3 or a mid range shot I don't know how much he will play. He almost needs to be in that Mills role. I think it just depends on if he wants to play a lot of bball or wear his hometown uni and enjoy the benefits of it.

I agree.

I believe Hood is too talented to simply be a three point specialist. The guy was highly recruited, not as if he was chopped liver coming from high school.

I think Hood could've helped offensively this season, but he has a ways to go on the defensive end. He's certainly more than a 3-point shooter, IMO.

He can take it to the hole and score in the paint at the Division I level.

Don't see it but I hope your right.:thumb:

Wall, Cousins, Bledsoe, Patterson. No idea about transfers etc... Hope Orton doesn't leave as well. I could see as many as 7 from the list not come back for different reasons, but sticking with 4.

Let's keep in mind that he was a top 50 player nationally in the 2009 class...

I know this, but answer honest do you see him playing in Cal's system? If he want's more PT and can't get it at UK I would love to see him shine somewhere else, if that's what he wants to do.

I don't know if he has it to take it to the hole in the DDO. His confidence would have to take a major swing. Darius could barely do it this year and he is 3X the athlete/bball player of Hood. I think at best Hood develops as a role player like Ramon, except able to knock down an open shot here and there. Sadly, I think he will be recruited over though. It's just like my man Jim Tressel says "don't worry about the guy in front of you, worry about the guy behind you."

Someone said Miller would not return. I've heard rumors of him transferring, but I think he'll be back next year. Heck, he's a starter! What more could he want? Plus, he played really well this post-season.

Cousins, Patterson, Wall and Bledsoe (needs another year but if the money is right I can't say I blame him) all enter the draft.

I voted Hood but I'm torn about him. He's a KY boy and there is something special about playing for UK after living your life in the state. If he ever contributes in any meaningful way, he becomes an instant leged state wide. Some kids are happy just to put on the blue and white and be a part of the team. Some kids have a desire to compete and contribute for a team no matter who it is. I'm not sure which type of kid Hood is. I think Cal will load up on talent more often than not and Hood won't see the floor much.

I won't be surpirsed to see Bledsoe and Orton go simply because of the potential lockout down the road.

Worst case, top 6 from this year are gone.

Hood had offers from Georgia, Tennessee, and Ole Miss as well coming out of high school.

IF he were to transfer out, where is the most likely place for him?

If Bledsoe and Orton come back and we get Knight to go along with other recruits and other returning players then we are in great shape and a top 10 team at worse to start the year. If they don't come back it will be interesting. We will still be really good I believe, but there will definitly be a lot more issues.

Rumor floating around Dodson could be the guy. But I don't put credibility into any of them transfering. All just off season chatter while waiting for football to start.

He could be a superstar at a WKU or Morehead.
